The Telegraph has an article that talks about dissent and on-pitch cussing by players in general. I thought it was well written, and worth a read.
He raises valid points about how players like Wayne Rooney, who are role models for upcoming English youth, and their blatant swearing at referees is a shame for the game. While, in recent times, Rooney has curbed his temper that has been his undoing in the past, he has been guilty of letting fly some words that naturally come off his tongue, which may not necessarily be palatable for viewers of all ages.

I know this has been done and dusted a lot of times before, and a lot of posts on many fan sites are an evidence to this, but I thought lets discuss all the contenders/pretenders one more time.
Let me first put down the qualities expected out of the striker we get, such that he fits seamlessly into the current flowing, attacking one-touch football that United are playing so effectively.

It’s been quiet with nothing much to report about. Apart from some stray gossip about players who might leave the club. So we will keep this pretty short and leave you for the day.
Oh, yes. You could use your spare time to check out the forum instead. Anyway, here are some of the interesting links that you might want to follow.

Our partner site has just launched a forum for people like you and me to continue ranting into the wee hours of the day. Of course Man United fans can start ranting over at the Manchester United thread. But you might surely like to talk about general football too.
Like, for example, flaming clubs like Chelsea and Liverpool. Or spelling Torres’ doom at Anfield. And things like that. You get my point.
Or you could go on about why Sepp Blatter needs to step down, or tell us about the latest 12 year old sensation from Peru whose dribbling is a cross between Pele and a manatee. Or something to that effect.
Now, now. I’ve given you enough ideas. Head over to the rather excellent forum, and be creative.
Today’s rumours have been mostly in repeat mode with us linked with Tevez and Liverpool linked with Gaby Heinze. So we’ll save the speculation for another day.
Today we will talk about our favourite player once again, Carlos Tevez. If you are getting increasingly bored about Tevez worship deal with it. Or no. In fact, go away. Find another worthwhile article to read that does not talk about transfer rumours or something.

It’s official finally. ‘Long time coming’, ‘Worst kept secret’ are some of the words people have used to describe the Hargreaves saga.
So now even Hargo has said them out loud himself. He’s signed on for a 4 year contract.
Here’s wishing him well.
Well, yesterday we (and Soccerlens) brought you the new 07/08 kits.
So, let us now gloat and say, ‘We were damn right!’ (Thanks Ahmed)
Well now, it’s official on their website. Go have a look. Also check out the video of their kit release on their myspace page. Oh! I forgot to mention, they also seem to have released a Myspace page. Go there to see more pics of the new kit.
Kit Release Date: 1st August. Pre-order here.
Update: Apparently the Myspace page was set up somewhere in mid June. Going by their blog entries. So now RR has the official United blog to go up against. Hmmm…
