CHAMPIONEEEESSSSSS! YESSSSS!
UPDATE: I want to write a report, but don’t know where to start. Give me some more time to collect my thoughts (because yesterday was a blur), and I promise I’ll make it up to you.

First of all, for all those who are crapping in their pants, watch the pre-match press conference with Fergie, Wes and Rio.
If that doesn’t help, then go find a toilet.

One more day before the lads march onto the Luzhniki stadium. Strangely I am not yet all that excited. Well, I am, but I’m not crapping my pants as much as I did prior to the second leg semi against Barcelona.
It is our biggest night since ‘99, I know. But, perhaps, the moment and the magnitude of the occasion might get to me tomorrow? Maybe it’s because we’ve already won the league? I don’t know. But I find myself surprisingly calm.

Hope Monday’s treating you all well. It’s not a day usually known for its kindness, but hey, who’s stopping you from hoping.
Quiet day otherwise and very little by way of United related news or transfer gossip for that matter.

Late, late post today but I was out late the night before which meant waking up late in the morning. But better late than never, so here’s the roundup for the day.

A very good morning to you all. Assuming you did manage to wake up on a Saturday morning, sober enough to read this.
As the days draw ever so close to the Champions’ League final, news comes from Moscow as police from the Russian capital outline their plans for tackling fan violence.
It’s good to see that local police are taking steps for the fans’ safety, but the ban on public drinking and the absence of outdoor TV screens will not sit too kindly with the travelling folk. That said, the club has clearly warned United fans against travelling to Moscow if they had no ticket.

Real Madrid have Robinho, Reyes and Robben, off the top of my head, for wingers. They also have a fairly bloated squad, which again, isn’t very new. They just won their 31st league title. They are also among the richest clubs in the world.
So, surely they would have some class?

Silly season has begun even though our season’s not over yet. But we will be beset with the task of dealing with quite a few rubbish — and some not so rubbish — rumours throughout the next three months. So we will try all summer to weed out the nonsense bits and give you the ones that are probably true. Or perhaps, we will talk about the nonsense bits too because otherwise we won’t have anything to talk about.
Thank God for the Euros. That way we can decide to support one team and immediately change allegiances after a shocking performance of said team.
Don’t worry, we’ll work something out to keep this blog going, so that you don’t have to resort to watching paint dry (or your hair grow — whatever suits you).

Thanks for all the comments on the first part of this topic. Very interesting and, in a couple of instances, really informative.
As you know, Fergie has made it quite clear that he won’t be retiring at the end of this season, come what may. I’m therefore going to curtail this slightly - I’ll give you my order of preference as it stands today, but my main focus is going to be why CQ shouldn’t get the job, now or any other time.

I am still too happy to write a match report. I was also a nervous wreck while watching the match yesterday. So expect very little sense from this report.
