Alexis Sanchez put in a man of the match performance on his Manchester United debut in our 4-0 thrashing of League Two strugglers Yeovil Town in the FA Cup this evening.

Victory at Huish Park put us safely into the hat for the fifth round draw.

The Chilean was named as a starter on the left wing in a 4-3-3 formation alongside Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata in attack.

From the first minute until he was substituted in the final 20, the new arrival stole the show with an excellent performance, creating a number of chances, attacks and winning free kicks.  The only thing that was missing from Sanchez was a goal!

Here are some of the impressive stats from Alexis Sanchez’s Manchester United debut:

Minutes Played: 71
Assists: 1
Chances Created: 6
Shots on Target: 1
Touches: 97
Free Kicks Won: 3
Pass Accuracy: 73%
Crosses/Accuracy: 7/2
Tackles: 2

Granted, it was against League Two opposition but Alexis Sanchez’s debut has offered great promise for the rest of the season and his time at Old Trafford.

It will be exciting to see him team up with the likes of Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba and that could come as early as Wednesday when we take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium.
