Di Maria admits struggle

Di-MariaAngel Di Maria has insisted he’s happy at Manchester United, but conceded that the typical Mancunian weather and the task of learning a new language are hurdles he is yet to overcome.

Since returning from a spell out on the sidelines, the Argentine has failed to recapture the fluency he had shown earlier this season, while rumours linking him with a move to PSG emerged after Di Maria’s house was burgled last week.

However, the former Real Madrid man insisted he’s happy at United.

“I’m getting on very well,” said Di Maria.

“The weather is the only thing […] it doesn’t help a lot.

“But I’m very content here. The people have a lot of affection for me, which is the most important thing. It’s what I value most, and I have that here.”

The Argentina international also admitted that he faces a struggle in his quest of learning a new language. Asked if his English was improving, he replied: “More like regressing! It’s very bad. Very little and only understand a small bit.

“That said, I’m trying to learn it bit by bit and I’m taking classes. Hopefully I’ll pick it up quickly.”
