You just can't get caught ball watching at this level. I say no 'stiker instinct'. I forgot exactly who got deep and crossed just in front of goal. But while our player made the run from the top of the box towards the touchline Dong just watched from the pk spot and stood there while the cross come in. He made a move for the ball only after it was well on its way. I think it was our best oportunity of the evening. But that is just one example. I agree that Terry was not 'ideal' but the mistakes I saw didn't seem much to do with Dongs opponent. He is strong and physically able, but you need instinct to go along with that. I would love for my inital assesment to be proved wrong, and I'm sure he does need time to settle. But I did expect a bit more. He could have paired him with Dong, instead of forcing him to plow his own furrow upfront in his very first match against the likes of Terry. Not an ideal situation. As you said, honestly Ole was a bad option to start with. He is widely tipped to stay on at Old Trafford and take up a coaching role in the team. A 4-4-2 system would have better served Dong.
