FA Cup tie against West Ham is United’s to lose

United are a top priced 1.75 with bet365 to beat West Ham in their FA Cup clash at Upton Park and rate a solid bet to do just that.

It will be the eighth time they have met in the competition and the Hammers lead the head-to-head 4-3.

However the last time they met in 2003, saw the Red Devils romp to 6-0 victory at at Old Trafford and Sir Alex Ferguson’s side have won four of their last six matches in the FA Cup when away to fellow Premier League teams.

United also come into the game on top form having cruised to a 4-0 victory over Wigan in the league, and despite the fact that Sir Alex is likely to field a changed side to give some of his stars a rest they should prove too strong for their opponents who have won just one of their last five matches.

I would not be surprised to see in-form Javier Hernandez get the nod to lead the attack, and the Mexican makes plenty of appeal in the goalscorer markets.

He can be backed at 6 with bet365 to net the opener, and looks cracking value at 2.3 with the same firm to net anytime during the 90 minutes.

I am also expecting United to be quick out of the blocks, and the 2.5 on offer with Boylesports and Coral in the HT/FT market looks worth a punt given that they are as short as 2.2 elsewhere.

Over 2.5 goals also appeals at 1.7 with bet365, and I like the look of a 3-1 win for United at the 13 on offer with Betfred.
