Evra has made the left back spot his own and while I'd favour Brown at right back, O'Shea is solid enough defensively. For the domestic cup games and home games against little teams where they pose little offensive threat, we should unleash the twins and see what they can do. My one worry about them is they seem a bit injury prone. But then our entire defence is injury prone and I cannot for the life of me understand why!!!!!!!! Carrick is rubbish. He was a better player at Tottenham. His biggest problem is he is too slow and cannot take boss a midfield. Without someone like Scholes alongside him he seems rather lost. Defensively he is a bit suspect-he was a feature in the Barca and Milan game where our midfield became sieve like, and he never gets forward enough to make an impact. What we need is an attacking midfielder to play next to Fletcher. Giggs can do a job but for the long term we need to blood Anderson and Gibson and see if either of them has what it takes.
