All United fans are welcome. Everyone has a right to support who they like!

Although it is worth pointing out that where you 'long distance' fans are paranoid about being seen as inferior to match going fans, the millionsof 'foreign united fans give us 'local fans' a bad name as glory hunters. We get tarnished with the same brush of only supporting United because of who they are and what they win.

Local fans grew up going to matches with their fathers or whoever and have supported the team when they were winning nothing, standing out in the freezing cold to watch the reds grind out a draw, trawlng the country to follow them and just being part of that family.

Now Im afraid that is not the reason why foreign united fans support United. It is because of who they are now. Why dont foreign fans support Reading FC, Wigan FC, West Brom FC etc..in their masses??

So when your feeling paranoid about thinking we all think you are inferior, remember us season ticket holders and loyal lifelong United supporters have our committment to United questioned constantly as we are called glory hunters and told we only support United as they are fashionable and win all the time.

Unfortunately millions of people out the are following united for this reason and why? I think it devalues the name of United when so many people follow them because everyone else does.

There is a reason visiting supporters sing, 'do you come from Manchester?', ans,'we live further north than you!'.

Great post k9. Pretty much sums up a lot of feelings here. Although if you love your club you might tend to look up wikipedia or sift through other online club archives for the purpose of interest.
