The punch looks to many like a desperation move but in reality it is far easier to perform than catching a swerving ball in high traffic. Of course keepers like Pig and Foster may make it look like an adventure, the really good ones have no problem with it. Being a Bayern and Germany supporter it took me a long while to get used to and get comfortable with Kahn and Lehmann doing it.
