Kit Update: Official Man Utd 07/08 Black Away Kit Pics
Here are the black away kits and their official pictures. There is also the official poster containing the release date, which is the 13th of September. I wonder why it’s taking so long.
The black kit, however, is ace and I would love to get my hands on it. Even the stripe at the back is pretty good although it would look good with a number in between.

Wicked!!! Even non ManU fans are going to want one just for the sheer style of it. Props to Nike as well … the best looking kit out there this year by far. Now we need some tophies to compliment the kit success. Let’s peg ‘em back boys!!!!!

Thank God they got rid of that eye sore sky blue-powder blue away kit they used for a couple of seasons. Being from North America and having been brought up on the way sports teams operate there, I have always liked the idea of away kits being the same color as the home kit but opposite in color priority. Man U’s home kit is a red jersey, white shorts and black socks. Why not make their away kit a white jersey, red shorts and black socks. A stays with the tradition of the organization’s official team colors and creates symmetry or uniformity. The colors used for club’s away kits just make no sense if one looks at team logos and historic team colors. Just a thought from an ignorant Candian who like color coordination.

Reversing the colours to keep in theme with the kit is a nice idea, and probably started out that way. But the simple truth of it is, kits that clash. Its just easier to have a kit in your ranks that could clearly define you against any opposition (and whatever possibility of colours they might be wearing). The last thing we need is Sunderland playing Stoke in a cup match (lol) and bothe teams have the same funking kits home , away, third etc… you get where Im going.
Anyway, United black kit sik as funk.

There was a gorgeous fake version of that kit floating about a few weeks, with the white lettering/logos done in gold.

I love this kit!!! I think I’ll go for either 11 again (I know he’s playing a bit shitty at the moment
) or 32.
The stripes at the back I reckon is the sponsors’ way to help curb ‘knock-offs’. The kit will look stupid without the numbers and the fake kits usually comes without numbers.

I think I will go for CR7 if I get something on the back (now that you mention it I should get something on the back of my home shirt) but for some reason the people I play football with gave me the nickname Ronaldo when I play with them (even though I’m pretty bad but I suppose it’s a good joke
) so I suppose I’ll give them a bit of a laugh.

Nice kit. But i wish nike didnt put the stripe down the back. I usually wouldent get a name on the back of my kits but these kits just look strange without it. Black or white trim should have been used on thehome kit.
