Let’s all laugh at Liverpool
I don’t indulge in schadenfreude, but I’ll make an exception. I had a long day outdoors, getting stuff fixed etc., so imagine my horror when I discovered what I’d missed in the day’s Champions League action. I surely didn’t feel I deserved to miss the occasion as it happened.
So, to make up for my loss, I thought let’s have a dedicated thread in revelling in someone else’s misfortune.

The only time I care about what Liverpool does is when the play us or if we are tied with them or hoe close they are to us on the final week of the season. Other than that, I don’t even acknowledge their existence.

@Andrei: The point is Andrei – do L’Pool fans think Lucas will turn into a LEGEND, after suffering the same fan lack of confidence and derision as Fletch used to suffer at Man United. Fletch is something now though isn’t he, and Fletch is wanting to take on and fight the worlds best MF’s because he thinks that he has the measure on anyone now! Fletch is a firm fan favourite now though as you say Andrei.

It’s weird – a few years ago I used to root for whatever English team was playing in the CL. But the past year’s utter drivel from Liverpool fans had me cheering on Fiorentina last night. If they weren’t such high and mighty assholes, then I’d have some sympathy, but they are, so f*ck em. Enjoy the tin cup competition boys.

So, putting the giggles aside, we have some pressing issues to be thinking about:
1. SAF has come out saying Foster will be our number 1. Spin or fear-inducing blindness?
2. Tosic scored a decent brace (including a last minute match winner) in the reserves last night. Can he please start the carling cup next week?
3. Macheda, Gibson, Rafael and Welbeck were supposed to be the next big things, and get chances this season. They haven’t. Are they not impressing in training?
4. Our captain never plays football anymore. Fletcher?
5. If Lljajic shows up in January and plays out of his skin for 2 weeks in training, should we just stop fighting it and sell Nani?
6. Where is Anderson?
7. If Michael’s Owens value is in his goals (and little else) – why do we care about his movement? Surely a fat slow fella that actually scored when give a chance would be more useful than a guy that gets in good positions and doesn’t?
8. Owen Hargreaves is back in training but only doing light running, and not kicking a ball. It’s just another delay in an already massively delayed come back. Can we go the season without him, or should we be buying in January?
