Rooney did not intentionally stomp the guy as he was off balance due to his challenge. Vidic did shove the player poorly using his elbow but he did not really elbow the player in the classic fashion. The ass hole did his greatest thespian imitation and made it look like he was just shot. The referee just jumped the gun too soon without taking a few seconds to think it over. I would have given him yellow for a shove and that's all. Yet another case of United players getting the wrong end of the judicial stick while others run rampant onus trying to cripple our best players.
