Moment of the match for me: abramovich clapping for shevchenko; classic.

I think Saha might have to get used to coming off the bench.
Tevez absolutely worked his socks off today

The best performance of the season by a long way. Giggs started on the left and had his best game of the season and I thought Carrick played really well. Some of his passing was sublime. There was no backwards passing today and we played very well in the opening stages which is something we haven’t done this season.

Absolutely elated for three reasons. First, a great victory for United where their offense showed up and where they easily could have had 4 or 5 goals if it weren’t for Cech and poor finishing from Giggsy and Saha. Secondly, Tevez finally scores and now hopefully he and United will be off and running. Finally, it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy when I see Chelski-Haim lose and that billionaire Russian worm suck it up in the stands.
This was a fantastic win albeit we did beat up on an undermanned and undermined Chelski-Haim squad that looked horrible. Michael Essien made more mistakes in this match than he has in three seasons with the squad. The way they played I’m not sure Drogba or Lampard would have mad a positive difference anyway.
As for United. Their opening 20 minutes was the best they have played since Roma. They had pace, sharp passing and ran at defenders. They then went into a ball possession shell which I would complain about if it had been against a lesser side. Seeing as it was Chelski, it was definitely the right thing to do. Especially since the opposition never even tried to attack all afternoon. I am trying to figure out how the Blues supposed new tactics are any better or more attack minded without Mourinho? This team look decimated and uninspired. The Russian Mafia really made a cataclysmic mistake sacking or forcing Mourinho to quit. My God it has been six years since I’ve seen a Chelsea team play this badly. Considering Liverfool’s managerial incompitence in the EPL, I think things are beginning to look bright for United’s future. As long as Benitez continues to rotate the shit out of his squad, only Arsenal will be of any concern to us. And even though they have been wonderful this early in the season, I cannot see that lasting. They are really young and I think their inexperience may eventually show up once they run in to a few controversial results. United look ready to rule once again. I think they have definitely turned the corner now and have weathered the storm. WELL DONE REDS!

fuck individual player analysis fuck match report fuck everything we kicked some chelski ass and that too big time so long suckers stand up for the champions
and yeah now that chelskis out of the race we better concentrate on gooners and liverfools i see them more stronger rivals this year

A decent performance from the lads although they got a bit lax in the second half. Another top performance from the defence, particular credit to Brown (who I have criticised heavily earlier in the season) who was excellent today. MOM to Carrick who dominated the middle of the park which raises an interesting question over Scholes continuing presence in the starting 11 when Hargreaves returns. Still it’s is a pity we don’t have Gareth Barry he would have been far better in there (this is absolutely not aimed at Dan!)

Is it just me or does the new coach look like some kind of Israeli mobster. I would not want to get on that guys bad side.
The boys looked really good today. Well done!

The boys were all terrific and really played a fast disciplined game. I previously forgot to praise Carrick for an outstanding performance. I have been a vocal critic of his so when he deserves credit I will give it. The back four have been outstanding all year. So much so that Van Der Saar should have set up the lawn chair and Umbrella and laid back with an ice tea and a magazine. Ronaldo was fine but I am a little concerned that he isn’t showing the explosiveness he showed last year. Defenders are really sticking to him like glue this season.

The Carrick boo-boys have been rather quiet, wonder why…Anyways, job well done by the whole team today with a solid, disciplined performance - full credit to our defence, it was impeccable. I thought our attacking play and penetration was pretty decent as well. The work-rate today was excellent, especially that of Evra, Brown, Carrick and Tevez. The refereeing was a bit inconsistent, but hey, most of the calls went in our favor so no complaints. Good to see Mr. utility-man back on the bench. Best of luck to Fletch and Silvy with their recoveries, the sooner the better. With Saha and Rooney back, Tevez finally getting his first goal, and Neville returning soon, the season is looking very bright. Keep up the good work boys!
On a side note, we really shouldn’t be overly critical of the team because they have been working hard and playing good football. The players just need some time to settle and gel before they really start playing our trademark free-flowing attacking football. I believe there are a few fans that are a bit harsh in their assessment of the manager, the players, and performances so far this season. As true fans, our duty is to support our team and its players, especially during tough times. Constructive criticism is important, but at the same time, a little sympathy and patience should be spared. Patience is key; take Arsenal for example…when people were pointing fingers and doubting Arsene Wenger’s transfer policy and team play, he stuck by his philosophy and, although results have gone against them in the past 2 years, the gooners are finally starting to click into a formidable threat (likely for years to come). With that in mind, Fergie’s methods and intentions should not be questioned either as he knows exactly what he is doing and what’s best for the team, especially for the long run (which is most important). Everything at this beautiful club is in place, from the current squad to our youth setup to management…the future is indeed very promising. Success will surely follow, so let’s just be patient, stick by our team through thick and thin, and make Manchester United the best club in the world with the best supporters!

Jonjipan yeah he ‘overexaggerated the contact’ you could say:D but it was still a foul and we were going to win anyway. And yeah lads its looking pretty great at the moment, we definitely played close to the way we were playing last year at times, and lets just hop e that the african nations cup really disrupts arsenals titlte challenge, that’ll leave us and the dippers(unless cheski get a new manager, the one they’ve got now apparently playd even more boring football with israel than chelski do normally

damnit, i meant not acceptable

Was it a walk in the park? I would say so! Chelsea did not produce a single shot on target that would have bothered EVDS. Our keeper would have done with a newspaper or a magazine in this entire game. Is this the end of Chelsea’s recent revoultion? I would say so! As Grognard says, the shape of the season’s title challange has started to come out in the open. It appears it will be a two horse race between us and Arsenal. We should manage to clamp Arsenal in the second leg of the season - first in January when a number of their players will go to Ghana for ACN and secondly in Feb-April period when their squad will have been exhausted and experience will be the counting factor.

ManUtd9Titles - I think he looks like Fat Tony from the Simpsons

I do believe that Saha dived but as I see it, it was rough justice after the non call when Evra was brought down in the box and the non call from the bloody hack by Joe Cole on Ronny. No team in football deserved rough justice more than Chelski. May they rot in Hell! They are everything that is wrong with the modern game so when injustice befalls them, I celebrate.

I think Grant looks like Larry Drake from the US series LA LAW and from the Darkman movie.
Anybody that mean looking is probably going to create an aura of tension and nervousness in the Chelski dressing room. All I know is that I would be scared to play for him and even more scared of his wrath if I played poorly. I’m not really sure how the Blues will react to him. But then again I don’t really think it matters as his tenure at Stamford Bridge will be very short, I’m sure. Interesting to see Marco Van Basten sitting With Abramovich. I know that the Dutch FA have always liked Martin Jol and Van Basten’s contract ends soon. I WONDER????????
