Clearly the armband shows how much confidence SAF has in him, but I think there is more to it than that. After his Fulham goal, Ronnie immediately started pointing and yelling "Gabby" clearly and indication of the bond those two have developed. Arguably the goal that sealed the League (it may have been O'sheas against 'pool) he fought teammates off his back and pushed through the crowd to embrace Heinze. Oh, at least Roman saved himself the embarrassment and went back to Boca! I also just watched the Player Awards show on Setanta (only place to get MUTV here in the states) and they showed the two of them arriving together and in good spirits. It's a case of building them up and knocking them down, as you fuckin' please. About Heinze - he was captain for a handful of games towards the end. He's not going anywhere. Why is it that when people compare Heinze and Evra, they focus on Evra's positive attributes (the fact that he runs really fast) and Heinze's negative attributes (the fact that he's not a great header for a centre-back). It's a ridiculous comparison. We do need Bale though. Throw away Evra and bring in Bale. On Riquelme - it would have been nice to have him, but in retrospect you could say that we didn't need him too much.
