Thoughts

Moving Heinze to 14 is curious, most likely an indication that he’s leaving. Tevez gets 32, but I’m betting that’s temporary and if / when Heinze leaves he’ll get his number.

Fuck, I hate it that Heinze’s leaving.

Anyway, mystery’s over lads. Discuss away.

I thought Hargreaves would opt for no 23. But no.4 is O.K. coz it shows he is really a ‘defensive’midfileder. Don’t forget that he sometimes plays in defence during crisis. Heinze may not even wear the new no. 14 coz he is on his way out. Anderson at 8 and Scholes at 18 makes them birds of the same feather just as Ronaldo and Nani at 7 and 17 respectively. I am largerly satisfied though I though Pique should have taken a number that looks more of a defender than a striker. Carlos at 32 is good, it makes him mysterious just as the way we want opponents to view him…

Looking Forward to sunday around 48 hrs to go

Nani getting 17 ronny 7 Hmm hmm Another comparision in the mind :)

overall Does Squad numbers really matter that much never saw scholes or ole craving for something special
I remember carrick saying they dont matter much last year when he got the priced numbers.

PS :- Its not that i dont like heinze i still like him more than evra but its been a bad affair recently and he really got on my fucking nerves.

I thought that Tevez would get the number 8, and OH #23.
Tevez gets 32 like he had at WHam, but i don’t think he’ll change it to 14 once gabby leaves. 1) fans will buy shirts with 32 by then, and also 2) i dont think he can do that once the #’s are registered with the FA and UEFA.

    GLORY GLORY MAN UNITED

Didn’t Tevez wear 32 at West Ham? Is it “His” number?

    Fergie obviously thinks Anderson will
feature heavily by giving him no.8.

I dont know why Rooney switched to #10.
He should have stayed with #8 and allowed Tevez to wear #10.
Tevez has worn #10 on both BOCA and Conrintians, and a couple of times for argentina.

It’s all Rooney’s fault that numbers got out of wack. But I love you still…

Heinze is definitelly out! – It’ll be sad to see him leave, but he pissed us all off!

Tevez wore No.8 in training. But the training numbers are given to players when they first join the club, and they always wear that number till they leave the club. Nothing to do with their squad numbers during matches.

I thought Hargreaves would take No.23, whilst Tevez No.8

I guess it’s goodbye Heinze :) He’s one of my fav players, but if you don’t want to be a United player, then f*ck off.

i actually want heinze to stay this season and suffer watching evra from teh stands
its hardly smart considering he’s one of the best left backs in europe and we’d be selling him to those cunts.
but letter or no letter, how can little piece of paper override his contract, all we have to say is he’s not for sale to liverpool and thats that. If thats the case then even sunderland could have come in with a 6.8 offer at any time and we’d have to sel him. which makes no sense.

it is really a great pain to see Gaby leaving ,especially when you think no one is there to play in his mood in his place and scarcity of left backs in Europe , it is a bad decision by fergi to alter his number , this makes him more determined to leave , but i don’t hate him joining Liverpool ,to what ever club he leaves we will miss him , good bye Gaby I will love you where ever you are.

Just on Tevez… there has been a lot of talk of him being rested this week and debuting against City in the derby. Isn’t there a mid-week game at Portsmouth? Surely this would be a suitable game to ease him in and then give him a starting spot the following weekend against Man City.

Tevez having 32 looks awkward.Forwards always suits numbers between 7 to 20.He would have looked nice in 8. Anderson should have taken 14 rather.Heinze was good with 4.God knows why these numbers keep on changing.Anyways thanks for the list.

Tevez at 32 is a good temporary soloution beleive he will
wear number 11 when Giggs retires as he did for Argentina
in the world cup. Hargreaves 4 is good. 14 wen heinze goes
save for a january signing hopefully. as i think we’ll need 1
speaking after the reading game. we need Alan smith back
i duno y we sold him. anderson 8 that’ll be his permananent
number.i also thought eagles would get an upgrade

Lets be fair – its fucking squad numbers, they could all wear one hundred and four and it wouldnt matter a jot. players will play in their favoured numbers, some players wont join a team if they dont get their lucky numbered shirt. Its not an indication of first team choice or how good they are. get a grip you griping gits.

I want to get Tevez 32 on my champions league shirt but im scared they might change his number next season!

It was sad to see Heinze leave, but I say good riddons! We stood by him throughout those bad injuries, gave him help, support and care, he finally gets fit and goes and says he wants to sign for the f**king scousers! THATS NOT RIGHT, SO I SAY GOOD RIDDONS! anyway, Liverpool are doing crap this season so would have been funny to see him go there.. Heinze was great but once he said he wanted liverpool, then uh oh.

ANYWAY, we have the mighty EVRA now, whose amazing, quick, skillful and a great tackler! Rooney’s good as number 10, proper strikers number, 8 suits anderson, and 4 suits owen hargreaves as the defensive midfield number, nani has ronnys internatinal number hmmm lol..

But as someone said, the numbers don’t matter on the pitch and I agree, it’s just something nice for the fans :D i mean, you wouldn’t wanna see Ronaldo as number 52 would you? but then again if he did what he’s done so far this season, who would care?

COME ON UNITED!!! pip arsenal AND LET’S DO THE TREBLE!!!!!!!!!!!
