@Karl: No true. Real know better than to tap the player up and meddle for at least two seasons. Then they will pounce. For me, two seasons of Benzema is more than I would want anyway so I say buy him for 25 million and sell him for 50 in 2011. As far as being a feeder club, as long as we have that massive debt hanging over us we will be a big club with a feeder mentality when it comes to the two big Spanish Giants and that is all.

@Karl: No actually I wasn't even thinking about that. I just recall reading your reply to someone about Tevez and decided to add my two cents worth. I don't hate Tevez and do not hold any animosity over his recent actions. I think he was treated poorly by Fergie because he was benched in a very humbling and embarrassing fashion without being given the chance to compete for his starting role. With that said, I predicted last year before we signed Berbatov that whether it was Berba or Huntelaar, the arrival of either would mean the bench for Tevez. Why? Because it was clear in my eyes that Tevez although a good player who works very hard, he is just not good enough to start. He lacks a prolific goal scoring rate plus he has feet of stone with his poor touch and no finesse in passing. All he had going for him was his work ethic and desire and unfortunately I expect more. Blue collar qualities have never impressed me. I look for the naturally gifted, players who do great things and sometimes don't even look like they are trying. Berbatov is ten times the player Tevez is and his divine skills. But even he too was a disappointment last year. Bottom line is we can find better forwards than Tevez. Especially for the price he will cost and the ridiculous wages he's asking for.

@Onkar: I couldn't agree with you more. The times they are a changing and the days where we could ensure our success by fielding an entertaining attacking team are in the past. Today it's solely about winning trophies and playing a ball control and cautious approach to guarantee it. Therefore, Jose Mourinho is the only choice that makes sense from that perspective. He also has the personality and pedigree to keep us on top and in the public eye worldwide after Fergie calls it quits. I also think the reason he signed a new contract with Inter is because he will patiently wait for the opportunity of managing Man Utd come when Fergie is ready to retire. Until then, he will bide his time at Inter.

Sure I bring it on because I'm opinionated and controversial but still, it makes you a little paranoid and touchy. Many like to go after me because they know who I like and don't like and they use that as a ammunition. So forgive me if I come across that way.

@Karl: I don’t thing that he will decline an opportunity to come here. I mean if he really feels that he is that Special then he will definitely take on this challenge. As it is, we all know that he is not happy in ITALY with Inter and desperately wants to come to ENGLAND where he enjoyed his time. I think he is destined to be a MAN UTD manager. I mean Champion Team with Champion manager will be great for me.
But, honestly i have reservations about management. I am not too sure that management will give him a chance… Which they ideally should…

@Onkar: I agree fully wrt Jose. Thing is, will he want to come and will management want him? @Grognard: True. Only problem with that scenario is that it will not take much for Real to unsettle the player. Once he's unsettled, we will be held ransom as to his value. They might want him 2 or 3 years down the line, a year before he becomes a free agent and then we are f....d. We'll get much, much less for him than what we paid for him. Dangerous game I'd say. Besides, when are we going to focus on building a team to dominate the world if we focus on becomming a feeder club? I would suggest to take the Ronaldo money (including the savings in his wages) and pay off the debt.
