Manchester United Fixtures for the 07/08 Season
It’s out finally. Before I sit down to discuss them (like it requires a discussion anyway) here are our fixtures for the season.
Fixtures after the jump…
Fixtures Courtesy: Manutd.com.
Yeah I copy pasted the fixtures, but no one is stopping you from having a look at them and letting us know what you think of them.
At a glance I can say that our end season run in seems formidable with Arsenal at home, Blackburn away, Chelsea away and a West Ham team that I expect to be doing way better than they did this season.

But we still get a 4-0 win against Wigan at the end - or will we save another team from relegation on the last day, again?
Good work mate.

a tough end season but a good opportunity early in the season to open up a lead. Checked with Chelsea’s fixtures they have a relatively easy first half also and I guess a slightly easier looking end.

Not a good set up as per my view. August is not good, not with those back to back away games at Portsmouth and Man City. We alao play Chelsea too early in Sep whereas I would have wished we do not play any of the bif three until mid Oct. Our ending looks rather bad - 4 out of the last six games are away (including back to back away games at Blaburn and Chelsea). For us to defend the title, we need to take advantage of Oct, Jan, Feb and March which look simple months to me……..

we have a relatively easy start the title is coming home again

are you sure about the days because according to this there is only one match on a Sunday for the whole season and I was planning to go to a Sunday match early in the season

That’s what it is according to ManUtd.com. I am sure they wouldn’t want to get the dates wrong. And anyway the fixtures are bound to get shifted around, but since you wanted to go in the early half of the season, I doubt there will be any major reshuffling.
Anyhow, Manutd.com also has a disclaimer that these dates are bound to change (but really, those are going to be due to future FA cup games) which will happen in the 2nd half of the season.

I woudnt say much about the fixtures, but what will determine our season is how well we perform in august, sept. and oct. If we can take an early lead, then we will have a better chance of retaining the league, but Aprils fixtures are tight….UTD WE STAND.

i think utd have to win the title by April 5th because the last few games are all dodgy games, so my conclusion of this is that has not been thought out aswell as previous years.

The dates for the games will change once Sky and Setanta announce their schedules.
Does anyone know when they might do this? I’m planning a holiday around the Reading game but I’ve got a funny feeling, with us being Champions, Sky will be obliged to show this as their first game and hence it’ll be Sunday at 4pm.
