Manchester United news round-up including Aubameyang, Ibrahimovic and Lukaku
Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.
Manchester United will face competition from Porto if they are to complete a deal for Braga midfielder Rafa Silva, according to reports. Man United are said to be keen admirers of the 22-year-old but Porto are also in the race to secure his services.
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Hans-Joachim Watzke has revealed that the German club would only consider selling Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if they were offered at least £78m for his services. Aubameyang has enjoyed a remarkable campaign for Dortmund this term, scoring 32 goals in 36 appearances.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic has suggested that he could retire at the end of the season if he does not receive a suitable offer following his exit from Paris Saint-Germain. The Swede is said to be the subject of interest from clubs such as Man United, Chelsea and Arsenal but he hinted that he could just retire altogether.
Lastly, Arsenal legend Ian Wright has claimed that he understands why Romelu Lukaku would want to move to a club such as Man United. The player’s father recently claimed that his son should choose between a transfer to Man United or Bayern Munich. Wright insisted that Lukaku has more of a chance of making the “next step” in his career at Old Trafford.
