@Craig Mc: yeh quiet is scary, it’s like telling a girlfriend you love them, but they don’t say anything back. WE all know Tevez loves to be here, and the fans love him back, but does management feel the same way?
you’re right, guess we’ll have to wait till summer to find out,

I hope he stays, he may not have been efficient as he was last year, but we all know what he’s capable of seriously, it’s a massive loss i reckon.

@colver: Yes I agree about Ronaldo being more of the preference on the left. I think Fergie also likes his linkup with Evra. It takes advantage of both player's talents more. I don't mind Valencia but I am still of the belief we could do better. I'd prefer to see Ribery stay with Bayern my other favorite team but if he is definitely to go, getting him would be a dream. Our attack with Ronny and Ribery on the wings would be the scariest thing to come into football since "Total Football". Honestly, how could teams cope with that? Especially with Carrick and a healthy Hargreaves in the middle with the occasional sprinkle of spices known as Anderson, Scholes, Giggs and Fletcher. Meanwhile our super humans on the wing would Nani (hopefully), Park and Tosic to turn to for some hard work. Keeping RiberRonny rested and healthy and ready for big games would be their duty. But I don't see United going after Ribery unless a calamity like Ronny leaving was to occur. Instead, I see us overpaying for a Valencia or taking a leap of faith on some other young and unproven winger who may or may never get a real shot. So far Tosic has shown nothing and although I believe we should be patient, his lack of form even with the reserves has me wondering if he could end up being a dud. Personally, I think he will be fine.

Grognard, my man, that behind the scenes exchange between Ronnie and Fergie was hilarious! It sounds exactly like the sort of deal they would have cut out.

James, you have some interesting views and you justify them. But it is not OK to attack the views of others in such an aggressive way. We all have our personal truths and any opinion is going to be partly subjective.

We really did miss a trick not snapping up Ribery. Also I’ll be pissed if we go for Valencia at the end of the season when we could have got him for half the fee last season.

Part of Ronaldo playing on the left is that Park is a right midfielder whereas Ronaldo is versatile enough to play on both flanks.

Last season we were playing Giggs on the left a fair bit, and sometimes Nani as well. But Giggs is now past it, and Fergie doesn’t seem to trust Nani. So we go with Ronaldo on the left, Park on the right.

Even if we got Valencia…he’s a right winger, so Ronaldo would end up on the left.

@Craig Mc: To my knowledge it has only been retained the following year when it was just the old European Cup format. In that instance Real Madrid won it five years in a row, Ajax and Bayern won it three years in a row and Liverpool and Nottingham Forest won it twice in a row.
