How good can Tevez be for Manchester United?

Tag: Manchester United News @ 5:35 pm

I’m going to go out on the proverbial ledge and put this out – shoot it down if you will, but not before thinking this through.

Carlos Tevez is going to be THE catch of the season this summer – and if Manchester United are able to sign him, they will have brought in a player who has the never-say-die spirit of Robson, Cantona and Keane, and the drive to keep battling at 110% from start till finish.

Can Chris Eagles be everything Kieran Richardson is not?

Tag: Manchester United Players @ 2:55 pm

After last night’s draw with Chelsea, Alex Ferguson praised Chris Eagles and Kieran Lee for their contributions. Personally, I think it was a bit troubling that Lee was beaten by Sinclair and he’ll need more time (preferably on loan) before we can pass any serious judgement on him. He looks decent enough.

Eagles though, is a different case. He’s had his loan periods, and he’s had his time playing in the reserves. It’s time for him to stand up and be counted, and on recent (albeit scant) evidence, he’s doing a much better job than Kieran Richardson.

Gattuso, Berbatov, Owen – Debunking Some Rumours

We here at Red Rants fully understand that the summer period is possibly the toughest one to get by, for fans. It also gets quite tedious for many of us here having to deal with a lot of transfer speculation that the tabloids strive to manufacture on a daily basis, usually in the form of ‘Exclusives’. Chelsea vs Manchester United Match Report

Tag: Manchester United Fixtures @ 2:58 am

It ended 0-0, it was a pre-meditated slap across Chelsea’s face (figuratively speaking, of course) and despite a few shaky moments in the last 15 minutes, United pulled it off.

Not much to say about the game, except that if you didn’t watch it, you needn’t have bothered.

However, there still is plenty to talk about in terms of what the ref did wrong, what the match meant for Chelsea, for United and for the FA Cup final, and what United can take away from this game.

Chelsea vs Manchester United: Preview

Thanks to the draw at the Emirates, we have the title in our hands, and the only thing of importance in this game would be the ‘Guard of Honor’ we can expect from Terry and co. Of course the people likely to be present at the game to receive would be the likes of Dong and Richardson among others. So there you go.

Loan Watch: Performances and Future Prospects

With the League title sealed, and tabloids already working overtime, drumming up names and linking the club with a whole lot of players, it’s time we take a look inward and see the good we already have at the moment. I am of course talking about the players loaned out this season. How did they do? And what are their chances in the first team setup next season? Read on for a run down on some of the more promising players out on loan…

In the news today (and in yesterday’s article on United’s 3 summer targets), a lot of names popped up as potential targets.

Let’s look at them one by one, and see whether there’s any weight to those rumours.
