I see it being a 1-0 victory, as a start-up for a grand season. A first half goal by Tevez, followed by some close chances in the 2nf half, and also a few anxious moments, though not a penalty conceded. Good overall football by ManUtd with the defence especially looking solid to say the least!!! Howzaaat??

VDS Brown Rio Vidic Evra Fletch Carrick O'Shea Nani Scholes Tevez Kuszczak Silvestre Pique Eagles Giggs I think that would be our best squad of fit players at the moment. SAF will probably feature Giggs over O'Shea and drop Scholesy into CM, just like the first two fixtures. Although I am of mind we need a change-up of that team, Fergie has said he has been pleased with the teams performance. What the hell do I know? I'm sure Giggs has just had a couple of unfocused games and I should have a bit more faith in his leadership ability. But I wonder if he would have more of an impact coming on later in the game. I just don't want to see O'Shea ( who has now played in all positions for UTD) come on as a last ditch striker again. I'd rather see Campbell instead but O'Shea is too valuable as cover for def/mid (especially if we have the lead in the last 20 min.) I say 2-1 United, comeback win

I’m quietly confident for tomorrow. It’s these ‘up against it’ moments that we really tend to thrive in.

I agree that we should unleash Scholes behind Tevez and play 2 central midfielders in behind him. I’d play Carrick with O’Shea or Fletcher (or both, with Fletch on the right) for some added bite.

What I WOULD put money on is a Tevez hat-trick – the kid needs more time to be perfectly match-fit though.

read the mautd blogger article couple of days back was gr8 article must read but i’ll be pessimist my confidence in our defence is a lil bit shaking and i’ll predict 2-1 win to united and a less sparky and mostly dull with lots of tackels affair match .

i mean we have Tevez and nani who are both looking for their first united (season) goal, and then. . giggsy is due one. . so thats three. . carrick is due one. . 4. . and then. . uhm. . evra has looked. . dangerous. . yeah

the only thing i’m worried about is that SAF pushes evra up to left wing and starts silly again. .

2-1 is my prediction. . aww hell. . 4-0!!!
