No one has noticed, but Ajax, didn't qualify for the CL, this might open the door for Huntelaar's exit, i think he's a RVN type of finisher we need at Utd.

grognard, conor is right, you misinterpreted what fergie said:

"Along with Carlos Tevez and Wayne Rooney, we may need experience in one forward position, somebody to take over from Ryan Giggs eventually"

He is not talking about signing a left winger. He won't sign a left winger. He was supporting rangers in the eufa cup final, that's all. Arshavin is not coming. He is an excellent player, i agree, but the circumstances are not right. Fergie would have known about him and all the other talented left midfielders in the world going into the transfer market last summer (including all the good ones from germany, despite your claims), and he decided then that our new left-sided midfielder was to be nani. He decided nani had more potential to do well here than any of the other players around. So he will not go out and buy another player in that position while we have giggs and nani. If park and ronaldo stay at the club i doubt he'll buy another winger for quite some time, even when giggs does leave.
Also, it would appear fergie plans on keeping giggs around for a while yet.
We'll probably buy berbatov...
Arshavin will probably go to a team like man city...

Get used to it. Fergie will do all he can to make him stay (if it is true he wants to leave). Nothing will happen until after the Euro 2008 finals. Brace yourselves for 2 months of Ronaldo-to-Madrid mania. Worse case scenario - he goes to Madrid and United get a record transfer fee but don't kid yourselves it will be anything like £100m. £60m tops depending how Ronaldo plays in Euro 2008. With AC Milan under pressure to get 4th place in Serie A and having purchased (did it go through?) Ronaldinho it is more likely Kaka will end up at Real Madrid than Ronaldo. Nobody is irreplaceable, not even Ronaldo. United is a train that never stops - you jump on or you jump off but the train keeps going with or without you.

Ronaldo is just acting like he does sometimes on the pitch - "SPOILT". I honestly don't think he'll leave after this season. He's just acting like this cos he loves the publicity and the oohs-aahs surrounding him. It's bad timing no doubt, and hope Fergie gives him a word or two.

Anywayz, the interview video on skysports doesn't have comments as BBC reports, which say he'll decide his future "after the CL final". He just says he is happy here, but the future - who knows. Does anybody have the link to any other interview?

Argh, Ronaldo is such an idiot. Just this week he says he'll stay, and shuts everyone up, and then comes out with that sh*t. You know what, as I've always said, painful as it has been, if he doesn't want to play for United, let him go. I'd rather we came second in the league than be a tool for his ego. Hopefully he's been misquoted, but if he's really that easily influenced then fine. For the life of me I don't get why he'd want to go there. I mean, they won La Liga but against who? The rest of the league was crap this year. They were rubbish in the CL, they're generally a spent force (aside from a couple - Robinho, Ramos etc) and it's just really a media hooplah.

The problem is that even if we got £100m for him, who could replace him, and what would it do to team morale? Anderson and Nani clearly are friends with him, so it makes it tough to tell what effect it would have on everyone else. If there's anything Ronaldo has taught us this year it's that the difference between winning and losing is often a single moment of quality, and he's been the provider this season.

If he does go, I wonder if Fergie could bury the hatchett and send a certain Dutchman on the plane back. I'd take him in a heartbeat.

I don't bother to read any of the Ronaldo interviews any more because he says the same thing over and over again, they have become so monotonous. If he leaves, he leaves, nothing we can do about it except revel in the trophies he has given us and the big lump of cash we got in exchange for him. Right now he is irreplaceable and even with £120m I couldn't see anyone who could come close to replacing him, as I doubt Messi would leave.
Dan; I doubt he was misquoted, he says these things because he wants to be in the headlines. I seen the interview on video so he definitely wasn't misquoted.
Alvin; Deco is still a great player but he has no place in this team unfortunately as he won't be willing to be a bench player since he is at the peak age of his career.

TinManUnited - I saw the pictures as well but it could be anything.

If Ronaldo wants to leave, I hope we bring in some good money for him. He may be the best player in the world but I am no fan of any player who chooses to leave Man Utd. I supported United long before Ronaldo came and will support United long after he leaves. I will be much more devastated when Fergie retires, that's for sure.
