Rossi Scores Brace, Parma Move Towards Safety: Goal Videos

Rossi’s has once again boosted his stock at Parma, helping them move two points clear off the drop zone. Parma thumped fellow relegation rivals Messina 4-1 in what was to be a blistering first half display. Rossi scored two well taken goals. Read on for goal videos and links to match report.

The first goal, the result of a slick one touch move, also displayed two traits of Rossi: His pace and finishing. After having covered a fair distance of the pitch, he showed good composure putting it away.

The second one highlighted his poaching instinct, making a good run to be in a position to tap the ball in from Igor Budan’s cross. (I must add, Budan has also been quite impressive this season, and a lot of clubs will be tracking this guy.)

Rossi now has 9 goals from 18 games. Half goal a game is decent return from a someone who might have needed a little time settling down in the Italian league.

Lets hope we get a chance to see Joe Red banging a few in at OT this year.
I think he’s a quality little striker, with a good footballing brain.
The best finisher at Old Trafford, according to Ole.
Also, i think it was a nice touch by the commentator to refer to Rossi as Joe Red after he scores the first goal. Great.
Anyway, what do you guys think of Joe Red?
