Sunderland vs Man Utd
Right. It’s boxing day, and we play Roy Keane’s boys. The Gaffer has mentioned making changes, but “one or two” at the most. Among those changes would be the return of Rio to the centre of defence and Hargreaves to midfield.
As you would see this is Boxing day, with tons of football going around, I wouldn’t leave your lot to waste time on this site — there is a pretty interesting game going on between Villa and Chelsea — so I’ll leave you with our squad composition and get back to watching that game.
First XI from: Kuszczak, Heaton, Brown, O’Shea, Simpson, Ferdinand, Vidic, Pique, Evans, Evra, Fletcher, Ronaldo, Nani, Eagles, Carrick, Hargreaves, Anderson, Giggs, Park, Tevez, Rooney, Saha.
Back to the game then. Discuss and I will get back with a good, good post game report. Honest!
Update: Dang! Chelsea equalised. Oh well, looks a good game nonetheless.

It’ll be fine, with Ronaldo, Nani, Rooney and Saha(if he decides he actually wants to bother making a run into the box once in a while) we should be able to score two. If it’s one nil going into the last 10 minutes of the match then I’ll be scared, because a late goal would be a killer!
December 26th, 2007 at 15:55
Chelsea villa what a game! 4-4 barry penalty at the death!3 red cards!what a game!
December 26th, 2007 at 15:56
I thought Hargreaves would be fit for the match? His injuries are getting very frustrating.
December 26th, 2007 at 16:06
What a match at Stamford Bridge…Surely Aston Villa Have arrived and whoa Sheva can score….LOL
I guess the form we are in right now, I’ll predict 3-0 to ManUtd.
December 26th, 2007 at 16:19
Still think Hargo was bought for Europe.
December 26th, 2007 at 16:24
1-0 Rooney.
December 26th, 2007 at 16:37
Yesssss…..saha makes it 2-0
December 26th, 2007 at 16:52
A beauty of a free kick from Ronaldo on the stroke of half time. United 3-0 up at the break, nice.
December 26th, 2007 at 16:54
Fuckin hell ronaldos freekick was superb.manutd are brilliant.rooney is playing like we know he can.hell even flethers playing well.i expected us to struggle but so far it is has been easy.
December 26th, 2007 at 16:55
2 0 Saha, good finish, 3-0 Ronaldo, really good free kick in the top corner. Haven’t got watching the game properly but from what I hear we’ve hardly had to break a sweat, but I seen ronaldo’s free kick and it seems like he might have been working on them, since he got another one on target earlier in the match.
December 26th, 2007 at 16:58
We’re totally cruising. This can get very ugly for Keane if we’re in the mood to go for 6 or 7.
December 26th, 2007 at 16:59
Ronaldo’s been working on them since he got to United… He is a brilliant footballer and as Queiroz has said will dominate the game in the same vien Jordan dominated Basketball…
Any news on Brown’s contract and replacements if he does not?
December 26th, 2007 at 16:59
Sad sight to see Keano on the receiving end, but that’s life.
December 26th, 2007 at 17:05
Yea maybe ronaldo has actually finally had a breakthrough with his freekicks.because theyre not flying into the stands anymore.
December 26th, 2007 at 17:08
2-0 saha :O:O:O (something’s not right:P), 3-0 ronaldo (no surprise there)
December 26th, 2007 at 17:54
Liverpool are drawing to Derby as well, Watch out for Arsenal now and we might be in the clear for next year.
I’m loosing to some idiot in the Fantasy Cup because Zat Knight got a red card, Newcastle are losing to Wigan AND he’s got Taylor as a sub WTF!!! Horrible. Oh well we got our 3 points at least.
December 26th, 2007 at 18:16
ronaldo’s freekicks used to concuss players… not fly into the stands….
but all three of his freekicks today was magical…
December 26th, 2007 at 18:21
Stevey G!!!!
December 26th, 2007 at 18:37
Wink they used to do both.
Abu you get what you deserve because Zat Knight is, and always will be, an awful defender.

We played absolutely brilliantly today. I hope we beat west ham too, to cap it off a wonderful year.
December 26th, 2007 at 20:25
4-0! Easy win. West Ham gonna be tough. Last season we lost there. Hope we can beat them this time around!
December 26th, 2007 at 20:27
I was wondering if anyone knew where I can view these goals or any goals from todays game and previous ones this year.
Thank you

FloridaRed the the only place that I know is Youtube. I was watching them yesterday. Some of them are of really good quelity.
December 27th, 2007 at 6:56
Nice result, pleased to see Rooney and Saha score.
Rooney looks like he’s going back to form and Saha will get a lot of confidence.
And we’re on top of the league:)

There was a certain swagger associated with our performance last night, and what is even more delightful is that we are now on the top of the table thanks to the draw at Fratton Park. Can’t believe that we had only 2 points from our first 3 games, on course for treble, come on you Reds!!
December 27th, 2007 at 11:47
what is the reason of silence here??? i think more than RR we are missing grognard(spelling??)
December 27th, 2007 at 13:12
Top of table as we hit 2008! Couldn’t ask for much more, especially considering our shaky start to the season as the new signings gelled, Rooney recovered from his injury, Ronaldo his suspension etc etc.
Best of all we have no major injuries to start the year with

Hey mates sorry i havent posted in a while I will be back to that in a bit. i was really busy, because unlike in england and europe, in canada we celebrate christmas the way it is supposed to be celebrated and actually use it to the fullest. match report coming up soon..
December 27th, 2007 at 14:34
Colver: Are you forgetting about Scholes? And Hargreaves’ injury could easily turn out to be worse than first expected. And Neville’s still out.
I have no idea where Grognard is because he has been away for a while, even before Christmas.
Vikas the reason is it’s the holidays and people have other things to do, probably involving alcohol
December 27th, 2007 at 14:55
[Conor]
LOL. Although I am pleasantly surprised at the visitors even during this festive period. Keep visiting, though!
And my match report is up! If that makes you happy Vikas.
December 27th, 2007 at 18:35
England shuts down totally during Christmas Grognard. At least in the US and Canada you can shop and use a bus or subway…lol
December 27th, 2007 at 23:15
Grognard if listening to Mariah Carey and Wham sing the same song over and over again while drinking bucks fizz isn’t celebrating christmas then I don’t know what is
