It’s been quiet with nothing much to report about. Apart from some stray gossip about players who might leave the club. So we will keep this pretty short and leave you for the day.
Oh, yes. You could use your spare time to check out the forum instead. Anyway, here are some of the interesting links that you might want to follow.

The week’s almost over and we sit down to decide how best to waste the time in the weekend. Football will certainly be among the to-do list nonetheless. So let’s quickly run through the news reports of the day.
Yesterday’s comment section was buzzing with reports of Tevez snubbing Inter. I must admit, I didn’t expect a snub so soon. But with Inter also apparently cooling off their interest, and Tevez asking to be given more time to decide on his future, nothing can be really known until the Copa America gets over. And going by the way a full strength Argentina spanked the American kids, they look like the most focused team of the tournament. I’m sure players like Tevez and Heinze would want to put their club future on hold for the moment.

Monday morning blues is upon us. So let’s pick up from what transpired on Sunday.
Sunday news was awash with reports of United agreeing on a deal for Smith, ermm… this time with Middlesbrough. In fact, some headlines go as far as to say that they have won the ‘race’ to sign him. The same ones who claimed the other day that Newcastle had won the race to sign him and to a lesser extent that Portsmouth were likely to buy him.

It has been a very quiet weekend with nothing really substantial going on in the transfer market. Not that we are really in any sort of hurry. But sometimes we wish for something to happen so that we feel that our club is indeed alive and kicking. Oh well, I guess everyone needs the weekend to relax.
But there has been some news items that I would deem utter tosh. And since there isn’t anything else we present you two of the absurd ones encountered. Amuse yourselves.

I’ll keep this post small, because there is nothing spectacular to talk about. From our club’s side that is. Although, over at Highbury, things are buzzing with activity what with Henry’s apparent departure for a meagre 16 million. Well, one might argue that Ruud went for 10 and Sheva came here for 30, but Sheva went to Chelsea. Although, it’s worth noting that the Spanish seem to pay way less in relation to English clubs.
Anyway, expect optimistic Arsenal fans to draw parallels with Ruud’s exit and the way we were written off. Even the pattern we mentioned a few posts back seems to be in their favor! Damn!

Sky Sports reports that Rio Ferdinand wouldn’t be interested in a move to Major League Soccer, because he can’t imagine leaving his family back home. Of course, when the headline read “Rio Rules out MLS move”, I was wondering if I had missed something. Anyway, it was a casual question put to him to which he answered in the negative.
I’d want him to play for us for as long as he physically can. His pace, assurance and composure, while making those tackles in the box, is priceless. He has had moments in the past where he’d just go off to sleep, but we saw very little of that last season. Of course, the presence of Vidic also makes life easier for him.

It’s been a quiet couple of days and papers seem to have gone quiet as far as our club is concerned. Only Quagliarella remains on the radar while most tabloids seem happy to feast on Arsenal with the La Liga finally over. Sometimes you have to feel for them, because the Spanish tabloids seem to have gone into overdrive while there seems to be no end to Henry’s whining and declaration of love towards Dein. Not even Tom Cruise went so overboard in his public displays of love for Katie, but then I digress.

Hello people.
Lots of tiny bits and pieces of news and non-news floating around. Plenty of activity did happen over the past few days making us people overuse our keyboards for writing articles and posts. Poor keyboards. Must be begging for constant pounding with Counterstrike and FIFA 07 (or Pro-Evolution) games rather than Man United blog posts.
Anyway, let’s get on with the backlog of news that got left out in the heated discussions of our transfer activity.

On the day dominated by hard and mad transfer activity the headlines will surely be no different. We might have found the odd news snippet outside Nani, Hargreaves and Anderson, but there isn’t much else other than these to write about.
We have discussed the transfer deals in detail here and here. Go ahead and read them for the detail.
For the low attention span people, here is the roundup of United’s news headlines for the day.

Back to the roundup of the day where we go around feeding off scraps from newspapers and rags alike. Although we avoid the rags. (even though we secretly like some of them… you know, guilty pleasures)
Anyway, here are the some of the news stories of the day…
