Manchester United have launched their third kit for the 2016-17 season on 29 July, Friday.

The Red Devils’ kit manufacturer adidas have manufactured the kit as they head into the second year of 10-year contract, which is worth £750 million. They have taken inspiration from the club’s early years as Newton Heath LYR Football Club for the third kit.

The new kit pays homage to the club’s illustrious history in which it rose from humble beginnings as a local railway workers’ team to become the biggest and best known football club in the world. The transformation from their humble beginnings to the globally renowned “Red Devils” is represented through each of the new 2016/17 kits.

The white kit with black accents takes inspiration from the City of Manchester’s Coat of Arms which features a worker bee, a symbol of the city’s history as a leading-light at the forefront of the UK’s industrial heritage.

Adidas has incorporated this symbolism into the new design as a Badge of Honour to demonstrate that, through hard work, a ‘never say die’ attitude and audacious football, Manchester.

United’s new kit revealed

3BA152DB78F448B9B9FDDAA18EB41C36Manchester United have revealed the new kit for the upcoming 2014-15 season and, sadly, it looks as tacky as we all expected after watching the trailer United released just over a week ago.

An enormous golden “Chevrolet” logo has replaced the “AON” brand that had characterised United’s shirts over the last three seasons, while the white collar returns after a two-season long absence and a label inside the collar carries the words “Youth, Courage, Greatness” which isn’t every United missed under David Moyes but, according to United’s official website, the pillars upon which the club is built.

United go Scottish with new kit

The title might have slipped through United’s fingers, the strategy regarding this summer’s transfers might still be unknown (and it will, perhaps, remain so for a few months) but at least United have their new kit for the 2012-2013 season.

At 4pm today, the club’s official facebook page published a picture of the shirt United will be wearing next season.

Truth be told, the picture only reveals a small detail below the collar, a curious tartan-like pattern that rumours have described as a tribute to Sir Alex Ferguson’s 25-year-long reign at the helm.

2011/12 United home kit is available for pre-order

Tag: Manchester United Kits @ 3:51 pm

The 2011/2012 Manchester United home kit has been revealed and it will be available from June 3, 2011. However, you can pre-order the kit now so you will receive your shirt on June 3rd.

The simple red shirt with a black and white striped collar is quite similar to the current home shirt. The only major differences are the style of collar and the white stripe on the shoulder and arms has been removed.

Fans don’t seem to be content with anything Nike does. Until last year, they were changing the kits around too much and this year they are ripping off fans by just changing the collar of the shirt.

09/10 Manchester United Away Kit

Tag: Manchester United Kits @ 9:53 am

The new United away kit has been launched today and is available for pre-order.

The 09/10 away shirt was leaked earlier and we saw then that it was based on the same template as the new home kit, using a blue V stripe on a black shirt for outfield players and a awesome looking blue shirt for keepers (with a black V stripe).

Photos after the jump.

Pre-Order the new Manchester United home kit

Tag: Manchester United Kits @ 10:07 am

Manchester United’s 09-10 home kit (the last one to bear the AIG logo) is now available for pre-order.

From initial images it seems to be a plain red top with the white shorts bearing a red stripe down the sides. The white V-neck collar that some leaked images showed earlier this summer is missing, but there does seem to be a ‘V’ across the shirt, either in a darker shade of red or in white (with the color blacked out for the promotional images).

The kit will be revealed on 1st July and launched on 16th July.

Manchester United 08/09 Third Kit: It Really Is Better…

… than the away kit (which was a horror show, to be honest).

Anyway here are the pics, after the fold.

Manchester United 08/09 Away Kit Pics

Tag: Manchester United Kits @ 10:00 am

The Sun has put up pictures of the Manchester United away kit for the 08/09 season.

I must say that I’m not really sure what to make of them. My first impressions go something like, “Meh!”. I sort of like the collar but the blue doesn’t sit too well with me. To be sure, I suppose this is the third kit apart from the existing home and away — despite what the Sun are saying. Although feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Thankfully we get to retain our home kit. Anyway, here are the pics if you’re interested.
