Manchester United 07/08 Away Kit

Rumours abound of the supposed away kit in forums and websites all round. I guess most of you might have seen that circulating around already.

Nonetheless we decided to put it up on the site anyway. I am not sure if it is the real away kit, but I secretly wished for a black kit this year and would love it if we do get one.

The picture is kinda hazy, but if it is in fact the real deal, then really like it.

Anyway, here’s the kit…

Hargreaves Agrees Terms… and Signs

It’s official finally. ‘Long time coming’, ‘Worst kept secret’ are some of the words people have used to describe the Hargreaves saga.

So now even Hargo has said them out loud himself. He’s signed on for a 4 year contract.

Here’s wishing him well.

Update: Apparently the Myspace page was set up somewhere in mid June. Going by their blog entries. So now RR has the official United blog to go up against. Hmmm…

Shirt Numbers Anyone?

Wayne Rooney will wear the No. 10 shirt from next season.

While practically numbers don’t really matter, we all as fans understand the subtle significance. A number 10 especially can be a stamp of confidence from a manager to a player, which can egg him on to better things, and give him a sense of responsibility.

United are on vacation, you should be too

What the hell are you guys doing trawling for United news when the players are on a break and the manager’s off enjoying the sun?

Manchester United are not going to sign anyone this week, and despite what the Daily Mail and their ilk will have you believe, United aren’t going to sell anyone this week either.

Rio On MLS, CL Seeding, Torres and Darren Ferguson

Sky Sports reports that Rio Ferdinand wouldn’t be interested in a move to Major League Soccer, because he can’t imagine leaving his family back home. Of course, when the headline read “Rio Rules out MLS move”, I was wondering if I had missed something. Anyway, it was a casual question put to him to which he answered in the negative.

I’d want him to play for us for as long as he physically can. His pace, assurance and composure, while making those tackles in the box, is priceless. He has had moments in the past where he’d just go off to sleep, but we saw very little of that last season. Of course, the presence of Vidic also makes life easier for him.

Why Becks and van “the man” were sold so cheaply to Real

Found this on football365. Too funny :)

So many of us ManUtd fans have wondered why Becks and Ruud were sold on the cheap to the only team (other than us) that can be mugged in transfers.

Well, folks the answer is here.

Look at the uncanny connection between the winners of LaLiga and the Premiership in recent years:

Madrid Win Title | Rossi Expects Chance

The Spanish title has been won at last and wasn’t it pulsating! Much as I hate Madrid, I couldn’t but feel happy for two former United heroes who had major hands to play in the title run-in.

For one, Beckham showed how wrong McLaren and Capello were, with his work rate and brilliant crosses doing more than its fair share of damage. His work ethic was undeniable even in his last season at OT when it was all but certain that he was moving. The change his introduction brought into the 4-3 Champions’ League classic against Madrid was testimony to his character. He’s proven once again that he is at his dangerous best when completely written off.
