It’s been a quiet couple of days and papers seem to have gone quiet as far as our club is concerned. Only Quagliarella remains on the radar while most tabloids seem happy to feast on Arsenal with the La Liga finally over. Sometimes you have to feel for them, because the Spanish tabloids seem to have gone into overdrive while there seems to be no end to Henry’s whining and declaration of love towards Dein. Not even Tom Cruise went so overboard in his public displays of love for Katie, but then I digress.

Sampdoria’s Fabio Quagliarella has broken his silence and admitted his interest in joining United if the opportunity presents itself. As you may know, his agent had previously issued a come and get me plea. But the main point is that he indicated that United have upped their bid from a previously reported 10 million pounds. He spoke to Gazzetto dello Sport and says that their offer is ’serious’.

In the last month I was reading all these comments about why should Saha leave, how he is injury prone and why we need a new striker. I am not going to argue whether we need a new striker or not, but I am going to argue in regards of the qualities of Saha and why I think that he is a great player and he shouldn’t be sold.

We’ve brought in 3 players and look unlikely to bring anyone else in, although a striker and possibly a keeper are both on the cards.
It’s far more likely though, that United will be selling several players.
I’ll spare the you the filler quotes - let’s get straight down to the predictions.
I’ll go first - you guys can make yours in the comments section below.

Ryan Giggs has been awarded the OBE honour on the Queen’s birthday, for services to football. He joins Bryan Robson and Beckham as other Man Utd players to have got this honour from the Queen.
Sir Bobby Charlton also spoke of his delight at Giggs’ recognition. And yes, even he wished what much of England have been wishing for a long time: “If only he’d have played for England!” United old boy, Teddy Sheringham was also honoured, although I wonder if it was for his ability to play in the Premiership till the age of 40, or for his very much active sex-life even at the age of 40.

I have a brilliant idea - why don’t these football players actually STOP speaking with News of the World and The Sun? That would cut down on 1/4th of the crap news we hear, and perhaps 20-30% of the blog posts generated around that crap news.
Excluding this one, of course.
So what did Smith ‘actually’ say to SunSport?

The first part of this post will have a lot of gloating. Be Afraid. Very, very afraid!
Manutd.com has finally broken its silence on the Heinze situation. In fact, Gaby Heinze has himself broken the silence over the situation. More on that and a little bit on Real Madrid today.

Let me start this off by saying that the headline does nothing to convey my sympathies for the lady who gave birth to the cunt who dreamt of this rumour. Madam, I truly feel sorry for you.
Oh yes, where were we?

It’s official now. Looks like Gill and Ferguson are a bit bored with such quick activity in the transfer market that they now feel the need to sign someone else to keep the place buzzing with activity. You know, even I’ve been in such situations when I wrapped up my transfer dealings for Bristol City (in Football Manager) in 3 days flat. The rest of the pre-season then becomes an ordeal of emptiness that prompts some more spending just for the heck of it.
Anyway, I am sure that’s not the same with Gill and Fergie.
