To finish, we consider our remaining title hopes before previewing both Swansea’s trip to Old Trafford and City’s trip to St James Park.

Questions Discussed Include: How stupid does Sir Alex think the fans are if he expects us to believe that we weren’t set up to take a draw? At what point does Giggs begin to tarnish his legacy with his constant poor performances? When was the last time that Park did what (Sir Alex thinks) Park does best? Should we retain any hope in the title race? Featuring Tom’s Turning Point & Pattison’s Player Profile

United have unwanted Kompany at the top of the table.

Tag: Podcast @ 6:18 am

A Vincent Kompany header saw city drawing level with United, as Mancini’s side went ahead on goal difference

With Fortyfive minutes played, Kompany rose above Chris Smalling to head home the winner, leaving United chasing shadows in the second half.

United started with Rooney alone up front, Ji-Sung Park playing alongside Giggs, Scholes, Carrick and Nani in midfield with Smalling and Jones replacing Evans and Rafael in the back four.

After a first half virtually devoid of action, City were ahead just before halftime.

A David Silva corner was missed by Chris Smalling, leaving Vincent Kompany free in the box – the City captain made no mistake, heading his team into the lead.

The second half saw United tryin to
claw back the deficit, with Welbeck, Young and Valencia replacing Park, Scholes and Nani.

United were never close to an equaliser though, as City ran away with a 1-0 win which seals a 7-goals lead for them.

City still have to play Newcastle away, while United face Swansea and Sunderland.

The race is still on, with City facing Newcastle away and QPR at home.

Welcome to the twenty-ninth Can They Score Manchester United podcast. This pod is the last one in a fortnight as Tom and I go on our respective travels before returning to review the Villa match in a fortnight’s time.

Questions Discussed Include: If there was any one player from United’s history who you could bring back to help us during the run in, who would it be and why? In the long term, how beneficial could the injury to Lindegaard be to Manchester United? What truly makes a great footballing team? Welcome to the twenty- eigth Can They Score Manchester United podcast. After a turbulent week, this pod sees Doron, Nik, Tom and I look back at our unsurprising elimination from the Europa League, emphatic victory at Molineux and preview our domestic PL match, next Monday, against Fulham with a little help from Fulham’s Finest, as well as reviewing United’s 1st Leg Semi-Final loss to Chelsea.

Questions Discussed Include:Tactically, do you think SAF was outfoxed by Bielsa in both legs? With many people linking United with Crystal Palace’s young English RB, Nathaniel Clyne, in the summer, how did you rate Rafael at the weekend and what have you made of his progression, or lack of it, over the last 12 months? Once Vidic returns from injury, presumably next season, can you see Evans dropping out of the Starting XI? What does Pogrebnyak offer that Zamora didn’t? If Berbatov is leaving, we will only have Rooney, Welbeck and Little Pea as our recognised strikers, which one player would you bring in to our squad in the summer and why?

Welcome to the twenty- seventh Can They Score Manchester United podcast. After an indifferent seven days, this pod sees Tom, Jonas, Samuel and I look back at our disappointing Europa League defeat, Rooney- driven victory against WBA, and preview the three United matches in the next week; Athletic away, Chelsea in the FAYC (with @ManUnitedYouth) and Wolves away (with @WolvesBlogger)!

Questions Discussed Include: Are United risking the loss of their AAA rating in Europe’s Elite? We really seemed to struggle to dictate the play at Old Trafford, as Athletic controlled the tempo of the game, so you do you think SAF will bring in Scholes to try and keep more of the ball? Who are the key players for United in our Semi- Final against Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup? United are top of the League, are you surprised we’ve caught up so soon?
