The Louis Saha Question and United 6-0 Newcastle Goal Videos
A quick Sunday update, including goal highlights, the latest on Louis Saha, the truth about Red Ranter’s absence and more:
Manchester United thrashed Newcastle United 6-0, with all goals coming in the second half. The two clubs could not be more different - stability vs ridiculously twitchy-fingers, strong foundations vs no base at all, and most poignantly, United are the very model of success that Newcastle aspire to.
Thanks to Steve BruceAlex McLeish and Birmingham, United are now top of the table with a way-better goal-difference.
Louis Saha is NOT out for the rest of the season, as David Gill confirms. That doesn’t mean that he’ll play for us again this season, it just means that he’s out till…his next ’slight knock’.
Danny Simpson had a decent run-out last night, hopefully he can keep improving. There’s a reason he was kept back you know, and that’s not because Neville was injured.
A few teams, including Tottenham, have had bids accepted for Lyon’s Fred. Anyone think this 6″1′, 24-year old Brazilian is good enough to play for a team like United?
In other news…Red Ranter has successfully eloped and will be celebrating his impromptu honeymoon at 38,000 feet. He should be back online tomorrow / tonight with an update, but I imagine he’ll be too tired to post
Here are goal highlights from last night’s game: Manchester United 6-0 Newcastle United goal videos
And finally, here’s a question for you guys: Who will buy Louis Saha?
Off you go then…

championship/lower league team.
January 13th, 2008 at 12:11
i think if we offered him to lets say portsmouth then maybe they would buy saha (with the AFC) and if we are looking for a striker we can use him in the deal.
January 13th, 2008 at 13:02
We’d get max 4m for him though. So might as well keep him and buy someone in the summer
January 13th, 2008 at 13:07
I think Lois will be bought by a French team, Bordeux, Lyon, Marseille, PSG.
P.S. Alx McLeish is th manager of Birmingham not Steve Bruce who is at Wigan.
January 13th, 2008 at 14:05
he’s worth much more than that no.3.
January 13th, 2008 at 14:11
Dan if he’s worth much more than that then he wouldn’t move to a championship/lower league team, since they wouldn’t spend more than 4m. I personally think Fred could be a decent buy for us, since he’s definitely a goalscorer, fast and good at heading, and he used to be a regular starter for Lyon until he got injured.
January 13th, 2008 at 14:21
Problem with Fred is that he is not happy on the bench, so its debatable whether a move to us would appeal.
On Saha, I’m confident that if we are looking to sell we would get a buyer and a good price. He is good enough, that if you could get him fit and firing, he could propel a mid table team over the line for a European place or keep a relegation threatened club up. Of course his form and fitness is a concern but there are plenty of managers who would be willing to take the gamble IMO.
January 13th, 2008 at 14:27
What I don’t get is why Tottenham are bidding for another striker.
January 13th, 2008 at 14:58
Kurt: Ramos doesn’t seem to rate Bent and Defoe has been told he can go if he wants, so it makes sense that they’ll be back in the market.
January 13th, 2008 at 15:25
when i say lower league i mean lower premier league teams.
evans is playing really well for s’land right now, if anybody can, take a look at him playing now against pompey.
January 13th, 2008 at 16:11
“Thanks to Steve Bruce and Birmingham, United are now top of the table with a way-better goal-difference.”
I thought McLeish was Birmingham’s manager!
Under the circumstances, only Newcastle would buy Saha. Let’s wait until summer comes.
January 13th, 2008 at 16:44
Peculiar that Ramos doesn’t rate either of them. Bent has been one of the top scorers in the Premier League for a few years, and Defoe is in my opinion the best super-sub in the league right now. Doesn’t make sense to me that he would sell two proven players to buy an unproven player who may not even be better. While I’m talking about Tottenham, do you think we would ever buy Bent? I know this is his first season at Tottenham, but he must be getting bored there. He’s rarely even on the bench. Maybe he’d be willing to come off of ours?
January 13th, 2008 at 17:24
How about Benni McCarthy anyone? I think he is the ideal candidate, especially as our 3rd striker. The guy has an abudance of experience with various clubs such as Ajax, Celta Vigo, and Porto; has international experience with South Africa (including 2 World Cups); has played in both the UEFA Cup as well as the Champions League; and importantly, has proven he can be effective in the Premier League (18 goals in 06/07 - SECOND leading scorer) with a decent Blackburn side. This season, due to minor injuries as well as the simutaneous rise of Roque Santa Cruz, his playing time and therefore, opportunities to score have been somewhat limited. And, he just turned 30 in November. Considering these factors, his market value has dropped since the end of last season, which means we could probably get him for a good deal. At this point, I really don’t think he will cost more than 7 mill pounds (Blackburn bought him for 2.5 mill from Porto so it would still be looked upon as a healthy investment return on their part).
Looking at his stats, thus far he has scored 99 goals in 255 league games (38.8% ratio), 24 goals in 52 european games (46.2%), and 28 goals in 65 international games (43.1%). McCarthy is not particularly exceptional in any area, but he has all the attributes a striker needs - pace, ball control, accuracy, shot power, aerial ability, and strength. With a good overall skill set, a broad range of experience, a respectable goals to games ratio, probably a reasonable price tag, and at exactly 30 years old (neither too young or too old), I would say he is the perfect option as our 3rd striker for the near future. All the other candidates I’ve heard about are either too expensive, unproven in the EPL, or are disruptive to team ethics/morale. Let’s make a bid for Benedict McCarthy please.
January 13th, 2008 at 17:42
i would like the hunter as a third striker… but thats personal preference… im just interested in whats gonna happen eventually
oh! lemme dredge up some comments from a douche bag from the ivory coast who said ronaldo isnt a machine and wouldnt match his form last season
doodad dogbar is the man in question, and he was right….. ronny isnt a machine who could match last season’s form… he is a spectacular superhuman footballer who managed to beat his last season’s form, put to shame any contenders and pretenders like dogbar.
haha here is to the man who is a 100M sprinter who creates a circus with his feet, cristiano ronaldo! booya!
1 more goal to match last season… anyone feel like backing up dogbar’s comments?
January 13th, 2008 at 19:01
All hail “King Ronaldo”! He is the best player in the world, and if he continues his form this season I cant see why he shouldnt score more hat tricks for us this year. He was unlucky against Wigan, Blackburn, Dynamo and Fulham. He has been more clinical in front of goal in the last four weeks than ever! I hope he gets the golden boot in PL and CL, and wins both of them(plus FA cup) for us.
January 13th, 2008 at 19:18
Just something about Ronaldo I noticed, this season from the start of December up until now he scored 10 goals, and last season over the christmas period he scored more than anyone, so it seems that this really is when he seems to hit form, which may be something do do with his superior physique to most other players in the league. What a player, but I think Rooney should be praised for his performance yesterday as well, because other than his poor finishing, he was everywhere for us and created chances all through the game. And also well done Michael Carrick, fantastic performance, especially in the first half.
January 13th, 2008 at 21:06
Yeah how come none of the Carrick haters are posting comments saying that he is crap now? he has played fantastically in both of our biggest wins (Roma and yesterday)in the last 2 seasons and that is 2 games in a row that he has bossed midfield. He was also unlucky not to score yesterday.
January 13th, 2008 at 21:30
Shera if your going to call someone a dumbass at least learn how to spell properly “its no Bruce dumbass its mcleish get it right next ”
I’m sorry that doesn’t make sense.
January 14th, 2008 at 0:14
yea yea, mcleish it is, that’s what you get for rushing
Saha to Pompey sounds good.
January 14th, 2008 at 5:09
I would love to see Saha leaving the team. Not because he isn’t a great footballer but because it’s meaningless to have him in our squad.Although he can control the ball, head it,shoot it and he’s got great pace and off the bal movement he CANNOT PLAY!He seems he ‘ll never play two games in a row in the starting eleven. We should buy the Defoes and the Berbas and the Benjemas…in JUNE of course…for now we should try to use somebody like anderson as a shadow striker…even giggs could do the same.We cannot find a more serious solution than this.Going in the market->that will be a disaster
January 14th, 2008 at 5:19
How some comment from you guys on Carlos TEVEZ
http://mundoalbiceleste.blogspot.com/2008/01/nothing-but-goals.html
January 14th, 2008 at 7:25
Fred is good enough. I put my name to that……….
January 14th, 2008 at 8:53
liam, carrick is still rubish, its quite bad to know that the best games you have are ones where everyone is scoring for fun.
January 14th, 2008 at 10:08
38,000 feet? Is it some sort of equivalent to clound no. 9? Or you really mean 38,000 feet? Mt.Everest is 29,000, so that would mean RR has managed to get a private space jet
January 14th, 2008 at 12:08
well shreyas in red ranter last post he said something about flying like taking a flight to somewhere ….
ahmed
so i guess ahmed filled the gap
but I imagine he’ll be too tired to post = 100% correct
and by the way
what does that mean “eloped” who’s the unlucky one who took the extreme steps anyways its getting a bit too personal but hey u started it:)
anyways things are looking good for United and beleive we can pull it off this season
regarding saha i feel some french side will mostly buy him but i feel he’s still hanging on for a season
and by the waychk this out
“An inspired Kieran Richardson scored twice to earn Sunderland a vital win in their fight against relegation.”
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/7172835.stm
Interesting stuff
January 14th, 2008 at 14:39
Dan: Bit biased against Carrick there. I would consider it a very impressive achievement that a lot of people I have spoken to and articles I have seen, gave serious consideration to making him the MOM in a game where Ronaldo scored a hat trick.
January 14th, 2008 at 17:03
JB i agree with you. Yeah d lad ronaldo scored a hat-trick, but carrick had an outstanding game. Only if he can provide it week in week out. We can rest Hargo for the european games in which we would really need his experience.
Again what can i say on ANDERSON. Pure gem in the midfield whoever he plays with.
January 14th, 2008 at 17:09
im not denying carrick had a great game, but he needs more consistency. and theirs no reason why he cant, he gets much more games than fletcher(and hargreaves lately) yet those 2 when they go on the field they ALWAYS have good games.
January 14th, 2008 at 17:18
Interesting comments.
But I must as the question:
Where the hell is Owen Hargreaves gone?
Is he the next Louis Saha?!
January 14th, 2008 at 17:19
Carrick offers you something taht Hargreaves doesn’t: vision. And with our offensive weapons, it’s something we need. Case in point, watch the first Rooney chance (where he should have scored) early in the match. Ball bobbles in the centre circle, Carrick realises he’s going to get tehre first, looks up, sees the run and then in one touch weights a ball perfectly for Rooney to be in on goal. His ability to do such things is only paralleled in Scholes.
However, if you put him under pressure he simply cannot perform. And teams that have realisd this simply pack the centre circle and don’t give him any time. The upside of that is that it frees up the wide men, the downside is that it makes Carrick look very ordinary. A bit like double teaming Ronaldo on the wing.
For me you put Carrick or Scholes into the team because it forces the other manager to either make them another focal point for defense (thereby removing an attacking midfielder, or pulling in a wide midfiedler) or if they don’t, either of those players will run the tempo of the game.
But he’s still got consistency issues, has poor acceleration and his heading is bleak for someone so tall. But don’t think he doesn’t have talent to be a top, top central midfielder. I can only imagine how good he’d be if he’d grown alongside Keano.
January 14th, 2008 at 17:27
Why can’t we just have a testimonial for that lad NEVILLE, and know his career is over instead of hearing one bad news after d other. NEV please take a cue from OLE and just retire. You have been a great lad for us all the years.
January 14th, 2008 at 18:23
carrick still needs to up the ante and not get bullied. i support carrick, but i do know when he is playing like crap. he had a good game in a match where everyone in a red shirt was playing well. so what didnt make much in his case for a defence
i believe carrick is the type to play consistently as he gains momentum. when he was a first choice midfielder… he shone, now when his rythem is disrupted. he cannot cope. andy, hargo, and fletcher even, they have the ability to perform whenever given the chance… carrick doesnt.. sadly
i am a big fan of carrick’s passes, everytime he laid one off last season… he never missed and always set the ball rolling for an attack on goal. he hasnt played well this season… no one can argue on that… and if you do, i doubt u are objective…
January 14th, 2008 at 19:00
hey guys,
while everyone is worrying abt saha/his replacement…
im slightly worried abt tevez…he is currently on a 2 year loan with the club… any idea how much it will cost to make him permament?
liverpool are facing a lot of problems with mascherano… they might have to pay 17 mill…and there seems to be the possiblility that kia..the mercenary tht he is… will just sell him to the highest bidder.
if such a thing happens with tevez… we might be with the situation where we either have to pay around 25-30 million for him or lose him to some other club….that too just when we are all dreaming of rooney-tevez becoming yorke-cole!
anybody out there who can ease my fears?
January 14th, 2008 at 19:50
GREAT NEWS- I just heard on the telly that a deal has been agreed between Ajax and United for Klaas Jan Huntelaar. He will arrive next wednesday to have a press conferance about his transfer. They said the fee is £14,3 mill. Great if true! Saw the Ajax game this weekend against AZ. Scored 2 goals and really helped building up attacks for his team mates to score four others. I hope the telly doesnt lie!
January 14th, 2008 at 20:03
WHAT CHANNEL, YOU BEST NOT BE LIEING.
January 14th, 2008 at 20:11
Heard it from the Eurosport commentator. I havent heard it any other place yet, but i believe him. He is the first to tell transfer news. He was the very first I heard tell about Andy and Nani joining United. He told it three days before confirmed.
January 14th, 2008 at 20:17
i will be most displeased if this is not true.
January 14th, 2008 at 20:23
Gill said there would be no transfers.i doubt hunterlaar would sign now
January 14th, 2008 at 20:31
Huntelaar will be great player to have. Hope youre right RedDevil! I will be surprised if he still plays for Ajax in the end of January. He is way too good to play for Ajax. Scores many goals, but cant be one of worlds best there.
January 14th, 2008 at 20:38
i see nothing on the eurosport website
January 14th, 2008 at 20:54
Wait a minute…it could actually make sense,i saw somewhere that manucho was going to be loaned for the rest of the season because of his work permit.maybe the club thought he would get one and now that he didnt it leaves us with 3…minus saha.two strikers.red devil what commentry?a match? Or the news guys?
January 14th, 2008 at 21:24
not seeing any news on huntelaar yet? is this another rumour?
January 14th, 2008 at 21:32
reddevil is meesin us about, there is no huntelaar deal. fcukin dickhead.
January 14th, 2008 at 21:49
Probably dan.but skysports says we sent scouts to watch him.
January 14th, 2008 at 22:23
yea, and so did scouserville and manchester b team
January 14th, 2008 at 22:26
OOOHHHH NOO WAYY!!! reddevil you were right, i just read the report!!! I am the happiest fan on earth. Reported price is 15 million. TREBLE HERE WE COME and huntelaar youre gonna be a star.. good luck
January 14th, 2008 at 22:58
Haven’t seen it anywhere, but I hope it’s true RedDevil! That would make my day mate!
January 14th, 2008 at 23:22
I was watching Eurogoals on Eurosport, when they showed the highlights from Ajax vs AZ. When Huntelaar scored his second goal, the comentator said:
“When you look at his qualities as a striker, there is no wonder that he will leave for Manchester United for a fee worth around £14 mill. I would have bidden more if I was sir Alex Ferguson, but it looks like the old master has done it again! The transfer is done, but United may have to wait until the summer to see him play for them. If not, look out on wednesday!”
I am just writing what I heard. If hes wrong, I will be devestated. United need a third striker(I dont count Saha), and Huntelaar showed he is one of the worlds best strikers this season. Fuck the commentator if he lies. But since he was right about Anderson and Nani, I think he might know something. And to all shitheads that thinks I am just making this up, I tell you: I dont lie when it is about United!
January 14th, 2008 at 23:28
Since I am from norway, the commentator was norwegian. I didnt post EXACTLY what he said, since he said much other stuff too. Not about the transfer, but about Huntelaar this season. But I wrote the most important sentances he said.
January 14th, 2008 at 23:34
He is a little unclear, but it does give us some hope. I wonder how he found this out? Hopefully it will come from some other sources soon.
January 14th, 2008 at 23:41
I also wonder how he finds things out earlier than other sources like Sky or BBC. I use to listen to his transfer news every week, becasue he gets it right everytime! He is not always first up, like the Anelka rumour or Tevez transfer, but he told transfer news before Sky and BBC, when it was about Shechenko to Chelski, Henry to Berca(one week before his transfer!) and Smudge to Newcastle.
And Dan- I am not messin around. I dont like to be caled a liar. If u heard on one of ur programs that Villa or in this situation, Hunter, was on his way to United, wouldt u tell people?
January 15th, 2008 at 2:30
[Dan]
Stop calling people names. You’ve been warned. I’ve seen you doing this quite a while now.
January 15th, 2008 at 3:01
Oh Taehr I didn’t see your post earlier. Where did you find the report?
January 15th, 2008 at 5:32
I didnt find no fucking report!someones posting under my name.reddevil?
January 15th, 2008 at 8:22
Taehr- I did no such thing! Why would I do that. I am saying it myself. Maybe I am wrong. But that is unly because the fuckin commentator is wrong. But if hes right, well I may post his transfer news about United every week.
January 15th, 2008 at 8:28
holy crap people are messing with my mind now…. noooooooooooo!
hope Reddevil is right tho…. really really do
January 15th, 2008 at 8:56
Just some news that is not about Huntelaar….Fergie is mad at the BBC, because the commentator said this when Rio scored the fourth goal against Newcastle: “It’s a Manchester United romp — and they are all getting in on the act.”
Fergis thinks he was mocking United, cause of the Christmas party(youve all heard about that one right?). He thinks it was a way to say something about the party, and in a bad manner. Read in THE SUN.
January 15th, 2008 at 9:19
RedDevil Fergie has been mad at the BBC for around 4 years now, because the BBC gave his son a bad reputation. He hasn’t done any interviews for the BBC for a while now, that’s why. Let’s wait and see if huntelaar will be as good as we all hope, he’s a goalscorer no doubt, and we can use that.
January 15th, 2008 at 9:24
I still think that Carrick/Anderson is a better partnership than Hargo/Anderson (and even Carrick/Hargo). This is not claiming anything about which player is better than which, just that I think that combination is better. From what I’ve seen this season, when Carrick gets crouded, Anderson shines, and vica versa. When they both get crouded, there’s lots of space for the attacking players…
January 15th, 2008 at 9:29
sorry, meant crowded, not crouded … lol
January 15th, 2008 at 9:53
Conor- I know Fergie has been mad at the BBC since…2003, was it? Some years abyway.
January 15th, 2008 at 12:45
RedDevil- I am also from Norway, and watched eurogoals today early. The commentator said: “A deal had been agreed, but he might not come until summer. According to my sources he will cost them around 150 mill kroner(£14 mill).” Would love the Hunter to come in January, but cant see it happen. United need a striker, but they should get a cheap one. Farfan of PSV is a 23 years old winger, but has said time and time again that he favores to play stiker. Fast, tall, strong shot and positiones himself great. Not more than 10 mill. Quagliarella is available again. Di Natale is a great striker in a good price. Podolski, Jones of Sundeland and Ashton are all good strikers than can be used when called upon.
And about that commentator. He also said that Quaresma was on his way to the Premiership, Benzema will be sold soon for a HUGE prize and that Podolski wants to leave, and hes said that he wants to move to his boyhood club: MANCHESTER UNITED! Hes my fave striker outside United. Young, Fast, great finishing, can be used as a left winger and “Scholes role”, behind striker. He is like van Persie and Drogba in one player. And Bayern will sell him for £7-£10 mill. Hes only 22 by the way!
January 15th, 2008 at 14:28
Karl: Totally agree about the Carrick + Anderson partnership being the best. I think Hargo should be used in bigger games when we need to shut the other team down(eg. Milan last year). With Carrick and Anderson we have a much better attack, and Hargo can recover from all of his injury problems.
January 15th, 2008 at 14:53
If Bayern sell Podolski for 10m they must be brain-dead. The kid is a diver but he’s strong and very talented, so would be a steal for any club.
January 15th, 2008 at 14:59
Podolski hasnt been getting any playing time for Bayern in the last six months, so no surprise he wants to leave. But I still think 10 mill is too little for a player that has been crowned the best young player of World Cup 2006. Great if he doesnt cost more!
January 15th, 2008 at 16:18
yes i must say ive been very very impressed with podolski. Still think ronaldo shudve been awarded the best young player of the world cup
January 15th, 2008 at 17:14
god huntelaar will be a great signing. just hope this is true and as i ave got me hopes up now lol. defo in need of a quality right back. nev is surely dead. not so sure bout needing a big target man just cuz of the way we play our footy. anyone else agree that nani should be in the first team and will be top class once he bulks up a bit?
January 15th, 2008 at 17:18
What name calling?
January 15th, 2008 at 17:31
I’ve been following the Huntelaar situation for a long time now.. And no, absolutely no site (rumour and news based) have reported anything about Huntelaar’s done deal… All Im getting is gilberto, the Hertha Left back..
January 15th, 2008 at 17:59
All I know about that Gilberto fella is that he is first-choice left back for Brasil. That aint be too bad, is it?
About Huntelaar, I just want to apologise to everybody that thought that their dreams had come true. I just want to clear this up:I DID NOT MAKE THE STORY UP! I just wrote what I heard. I an dissapointed myself! And besides, if any of you had heard on one of ur program that either Villa, Berbatov or Miguel Veloso had signed for United before everybody else knew, wouldnt u post it? I just wanted to bring, what I thought, the happy news to u all before everybody else. And about Podolski, I would love to have him in the side. He plays a little like Rooney, just better finisher and header of the ball.
January 15th, 2008 at 18:06
k…
January 15th, 2008 at 18:12
I’m sorry but Podolski’s goalscoring record has been woeful since he went to Bayern, he was managed by 3 different managers during this time and still didn’t get regular playing time. He played the first 15 matches for Bayern when he came and scored something like 3 goals, and didn’t perform well in the matches either. And then after that he couldn’t get in the side ahead of a certain Claudio Pizzaro who can’t get in the team of Kalou, or ahead of a terribly out of form Roy Makaay. I think he was just an over-hyped player who had a good World Cup.
And RedDevil 2 things: One, if I hear something like that on the tv personally I’d just brush it off as a rumour and move on, but you’ve got every reason to believe the commentator, and two, Gilberto may be the first choice left back but that’s because there are a severe lack of brazilian left backs, and he’s 30, so he wouldn’t be a great investment, a more than decent back up for Evra though.
Dan, it’s not that hard to go up the page and read your comments, you said “reddevil is meesin us about, there is no huntelaar deal. fcukin dickhead.” Thats name calling.
January 15th, 2008 at 18:13
I aint saying it would be a good invetment or a good buy, I just said thts all I know about him! And its only mid-January, the transfer might still happen. He said it would happen on wednesday, so we might wake up to some great news tomorrow!
January 15th, 2008 at 18:17
i didnt say that, someone used my name because i didnt say that.
January 15th, 2008 at 18:18
my united team.
foster(when fit)
peeks rio vida evra
ronnie anderson hargo nani
rooney tevez
January 15th, 2008 at 18:21
You didnt say what Dan? Callin me a f***in d***head or what?
January 15th, 2008 at 18:40
I dont know why Podolski is not a regular for Bayern anymore. He still plays great for Germany and scores hell alot of goals! And last season Bayern finished fourth or fifth, scoring very few goals. Their top scorer had only 14 goals, I believe. And if 20 of ur 22 games is as a substitute, the only player u can complain to for not scoring enough goals is 20LEgend. Podolski doesnt get great service at Bayern. He would have that in United. And if he doesnt cost more than Norry said, its defo worth a gamble. Since being a boyhood United fan(really Norry, havent heard that?), not gettin any games for Beyern and being first choice striker for Germany, I think he would fit in well.
January 15th, 2008 at 18:51
yes i didnt say that, and i can prove it, whrn do i ever use internet slang apart from lol, i would say messing not messin and fucking not some idiotic way of bypassing it and saying fcukin
January 15th, 2008 at 19:05
Lets just pass it off as someone messing around.. chill guys… btw i dunno who Gilberto is but don we have enough cover in the form of O’Shea ans Silvestre???
January 15th, 2008 at 19:52

Learn to accept your mistakes. You can lie to the rest of the world, but when you do comment on RR, I will know the IP address and details from which you comment. And in this case they are all a dead-on match. I don’t want to make a big deal of all this, but since you are bent upon lying your way, I had to point it out to you. Stop the BS and let’s talk more footy shall we?

If Tevez is mad at Ronaldo for something, it must be that Ronaldo took the pen vs Derby! All hail Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo!

Just something to ask here, will the blues signing of Ivanovic come back to haunt us? I mean, is he that good and should we have made an attempt to sign him or are there other players out there that can come in and make an bigger impact than him? I already know of Lahm, but is there any chance that Bayern will sell.
From what I heard gilberto isnt exactly the first choice, but will do. And for his age, it kinda worries me that we could be buying another injury prone player. I will admit though that i know NOTHING of him as a player, so all injury worried are purely speculation based on his age. It would gut me to think that we lose the any of the trophies in the second half because someone like evra or oshea gets injured and we dont have any cover.

Saha is the worsed player i have seen in a Manchester United shirt, and that is no joke, he has pace, but thats all he has, he gets in some awful possitions, he has the touch of a rapist and he couldn’t finish his tea, personally i don’t see what anyone can see in such a bad player, he is a championship player and no more then that, next time we have an away cup tie, at say colchester or a lower team, fergie should leave him at the ground we just played at, honestly i wouldn’t want money for him, i’d just get rid of him anyway i could, he’s such a bad player, we need a good striker such as, Fred, Berbatov, Benzema, or even James Bettie but anyone is better then Saha in my opinion.
