This is why United fans love watching the team. When they are in full flight, the football is beautiful at the Theatre of Dreams. Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea can’t match the sight of Rooney-Tevez-Ronaldo-Anderson running at defenders!

oh we have a lot to talk about todays game but sadly my health aint good enough today saw the game in bits and pieces but hell we are back tevez is back to his standard’s rooneys get a free hit and ronny shows his class with giggs scholes doing the possesion part completeing the top class team of ours
And yes youngster’s did stood up nicely in the need of time but lets not fly above the ground were standing on and hope we continue this run
and hope or injuries problems get sorted sooner
Pique , simpson, anderson, nani all look good for the future
On the silly front saw ronny hiding his blacked out left eye from the cameraa fter the final wistle cheelky little flirt ur girlfrnds are still gonna like u playboy
Overall a classy 2nd half performance lets forget the 1st half i give the benefit of doubt on it coz we had a bit too many breaks and coul’nt get into any rythm
Oh yes special kudos to the defence department and specially the back 4 our clean sheets are very much due to their clean tackles and strong physical presence on the field
There only one united and hell we rock
Ps Mr squarten we know u have a good site but stop whoring abt it all over the place:)

I told you guys to have faith, the flair will come.
I’m very happy over Anderson’s performance. I now believe we have a successor for Scholes. He is still a bit raw, but he surely has it. I was very worried about his defending ability, bit I see he can do it.
How do you guys like Tevez’ goal. Simply brilliant aint it?

Redsnake – while not a serious injury and typically requiring only a couple of days rest, a dead leg can seriously hamper a player’s mobility. I bet you would have been delighted if Wigan had scored because O’Shea couldn’t turn or run at full pelt. Remember Keane has been forced off in his time by dead legs.

Where’re those Anderson critics now ? shutting the fuck up ?
he’s the one to watch for the future, and he’s only 19.
great play by united, haven’t seen a performance like this for quite sometime and i thought this would be the best time to do it before the international games next weekend.
love the combinations all over the pitch, (giggs had a 1 off performance).
well done lads!

What can I say..? “Brilliant!” comes to mind:)
This prolific victory is special.
Not only the the score, but the way we climbed up to victory.
The team was almost jinxed having 2 players getting injuried in an early stage.
3 unexperienced young players were put in the game,
and 2 were put in defence, a drastic change in the back4 is bad for any team.
I was worried but, I still thought we would win.
Because the movement&passing was much sharper than our previous games,
it certainly looked like a matter of time that our attack would “click”
To my surprise the 2 young players did a good job, and 1, a brazilian kid
showed his genius. Anderson’s passing, especially the long balls were great.
His running was good too he ran everywhere.
But not only that, this small kid displayed some sound defencive abilities.
Scholes was also gearing his game up, somehow it looked like he finally found fresh air to breath:)
Might be the start of a great DUO
Tevez – He played like a captain. He ran and ran and in the 1st half he kept our team up to the
fight.
Rooney – Still not in his full form, but he was good. Great passing, Nice header!
Ronaldo – Scoring is his habit.
Overall, this game was a joy to watch like many games from last season.
Still.. no I don’t think our team clicked perfectly yet.
Also Some ppl will point out that Wigan is not a strong team, I agree.
But we’re starting to show a fluid attack, and we’re on our way.

I am just elated, delighted and relieved all at once. Finally we can shoot down that bloody albatross that has followed United’s offensive forays all season. It really was a game of two different halves as United once again came out and played a slow pedestrian game while creating very few chances and moving very few attackers into the box. The second half was a bright change in tactics. We attacked with pace, imagination and width. Tevez’ wonderful goal helped open the game up but this time United took advantage. They finally showed some bloody killer instinct.
First off let me congratulate Giggs for playing a pretty good match. Although he really didn’t contribute to the goals, he played with far more zest and interest. Scholes was also more direct in his approach. I thought Anderson did a pretty decent job and his through ball to Tevez was great. Rooney and Ronaldo were outstanding, especially in taking their chances but playing well in all areas of the pitch. Pique was a rock and I really believe he needs to get more playing time. And what do we do with Danny Simpson? I have been waiting all season to see a RB use his pace, overlap and deliver a telling cross in to the box. He did this beautifully twice and provided a gem for Rooney’s goal. Considering he played less than a half hour, that was most impressive. Rooney and Ronaldo were great but for me the player of the match was Tevez. His goal turned the game around but his skill on the ball and his runs were outstanding. He still needs to make more of a presence in the box but a game like today can only inflate his confidence and secure his place on the team’s starting eleven. Way to go United and please keep it up. Hopefully the dam has broken and now the goals will come like a flood.
And finally, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t ring in with some negativity. Today’s negative rant is directed at Balsa Boy himself, Brittle Louis Saha. Only that bloody porcelain doll could injure himself before the kickoff. Talk about a total girly man. I have had it with that French puff pastry. Come January I want him shipped off to some woman’s league and lets go out and buy a striker who is a real man. ENOUGH ALREADY.

4 goals for that boy ronaldo, every time i see tevez score for united it seems memorable, but any way, 3 goals in 2 games, ronaldo for 25-30 rooney for 23-27 tevez for 15, saha for 5.

at last,we have got a player who can deliver some through balls.
scholes’ passing is good but predictable, and square. anderson delivered
some penetrating ronaldinho type passes today,i think that made a great difference to our
play

as a sprtsman myself (fair enuf not at top level) i know it is not unreasonale to play through a
dead leg. appreciated it coulda/ woulda hindered his performance slightly but i still strongly feel that as a man
John Oshea shuda made a bigger effort to stay on the pitch…he shuda wanted to play on but
instantly he was bitchin to the bench. When u think bout our weakend defence this becomes more
relavant again. Its a questoion of desire over anything else. i know these players are valuable
assets to their clubs but it has gone too far in that players are over protected and as a result
have become soft as shit! One more thing- iv been wincing all week bout Ronaldo n his fukin
black eye! why does he feel he has to cover it up so bad..?..is he a bird?! that ontop of his
“il be beautiful again soon” quotes are a serious embarasment on himself and our great club

It was certainly an uplifting performance but lets not forget that we beat Wigan today, not Arsenal. Last Wednesday we should have given up three goals against Roma so I don’t think that we are steady defensively as we think. We are damn good but there is still more work ahead. I agree with sunny about Anderson and his ambitious through balls. Scholes and Giggs are more than capable of making those passes but for whatever reason, they have decided to always go the safe route this season. I say play Anderson much more. For all the concerns about the lad not being ready, I think he looks fine to me and should play more often. I’m not saying they should always start him, but like Pique he deserves more playing time.
As for O’Shea pulling himself out because of a dead leg, well all I can say is if he can’t move well he is a detriment to the side, so I think he did the right thing. Like I have stated in the past. I admire players who can play hurt but even I don’t want them to play hurt if it is going to drastically reduce their effectiveness. O’Shea values the little playing time he gets therefore, I doubt very much that he was lacking guts or heart. He’s a tough lad and so I support his decision. He certainly didn’t have time to go back into the dressing room and get a tape job which might have helped. It’s bloody arm injuries that bug me. Head and leg injuries are serious matters.

As i have always told put Andersons and Piques in with the best, let their confidence build. Anderson i think was awesome with some of the passes and he shows good fighting temperament too. I think he can be little more dangerous when he have some one like Hargreaves alongside him. I think he was more conservative with his running today. whatever I see united scoring and scoring beautiful goals..Thats what we want. As a footballer myself(not at any high level or so) i think the injuries as i hear them are not as bad as Hargreaves or Carrick..Playing with a dead leg is never possible..No point arguing about guts and spirits when you cant move wherever you are trying to..He did the right thing

Glad for the win. I’m amazed at the diffence’s performance more than anything since only Rio and Evra were true starters. I guess the real United comes along after a few injuries and constraints to the team. I was really worried at the begining of the season because injuries are inevitable and I wondered if our depth could weather the storm. Pique, Anderson, and maybe even Simpson have wonderful futures if they can take these chances which will come as sure as rain. Lets hope not to many of our boys stay out to long. Glad for this Int’l break.

@redsnake… What goes on off the field in the life of a male footballer is for the fairer sex – to wince at,scream, flinch , memorize, utter, play coquet, seduce etc. etc.(keeps them going). Its nice that you have kept the above in mind and are providing a female perspective. Also when they call “terry, an overrated moaning little meatloaf” they can not be more off the mark can they.

All im sayin is we better hope he (being ronaldo) doesnt get carried away with this shit in the
future ala beckham as weve seen eventualy it can have a negative effect on his performances! n “R”
DONT BOTHER IMPLYING im thinkin like a bird coz i know that aint the case. id just rather see my
players acting like real footballers as apposed to FANNYS. 1 Last thing i fuking HATE john terry n
the media can say all they want bout him (even tho majority of the time its esteemed praise!?!)
on that pitch he gives 110% PLUS. Whatever gets said lads i know im right.

John Terry is a cunt, and I think he isn’t as tough a nut as a lot of people make him out to be. I think sometimes, there is just more PR exercise since he’s the England captain and all that jazz to show how tough a man he is. I just think it’s a part of the whole Chelsea circus thing. Bollocks really.
I don’t question John O’Shea’s commitment. He’s a limited player but works hard. He knows he wouldn’t get too much time on the pitch and if he had to come off the pitch that’s a chance lost for him. I wouldn’t think he would come off until it was really not possible for him to continue.

TOTALLY agree with him being a right cunt but as the yrs have passed he has continued to defy the docs.
regardless of his injuries he battles on tae fuck!! the closest weve got to him (with ragards to
attitude is wazza) neways the john oshea discussion is growin old as bottom line is the back four
improved with his departure. was merely an observation that i beleived to tie into keanos

good game.the positives, simpson, what an excellent pleyer.he has all requirements of a united player.pique, look at ferdinand, and give him more aerial power, you have piique.annnnddddeeeerrrrrrrssssooooonnnnn.the main man of the game.like tevez, they have much of what english players lack.rooney inclusive.close ball control, clever passing and doing simple things the game requires.if rooney could add that to his game,he would be amuch better player.what kills me with rooney is he has not lived up to the promise.he has delayed to mature.hope these players improve him.it does not help that he believes the english press which made walcot world class and beckham the best in the biz

Thank you Redranter, it’s good to see someone agrees with me on the Terry myth. Redsnake: as I said to Grognard before, to defy the doctors once or twice may be possible but to do it every time you have an injury, I don’t think so. Terry’s injuries in my eyes are often over exaggerated making him seem like a hero when he returns quickly.
You are right about one thing, Terry probably would play on with a dead leg. It would hinder his mobility, may well cost Chelsea a goal which would be ignored in the press and post match analysis and then we would get to listen to Jamie Redknapp talk about what a gladiator Terry is. Great stuff!

This John Terry stuff is just total shite. I for one absolutely despise everything Chelsea but I’ll be damned if I’m going to slag a player that has played his heart out for that team and for his country. None of you have any way of knowing the truth about Terry’s injuries and how severe or not severe they have been. Your insinuations are nothing more than cheap gossip and I for one expect more from a great poster like JB and especially you Red Ranter. Really man, calling a player a “cunt” is just so beneath you and the blog you run. The true definition of a “cunt” was what Ronaldo did to Rooney at the World Cup. But we all just conveniently forgave Ronny for that, me included. I love Ronny but that incident still makes me angry to think about it. I guess it all depends on what colors you support huh?
As far as the supposed love relationship that Terry has with the media, I for one have not seen it or read it. In fact, the past month has been filled with articles and commentary about John Terry’s poor form and his terrible betrayal of Jose Mourinho. And even if you are all right about Terry, the total disdain you guys are showing a footballer who represents your country with honor and pride is pretty sad.
Terry might be all the things you say he is but my point is this, you just don’t really know for sure. And to say you do is really just a load of bollocks. I for one hate that he is a Chelsea player but I would welcome him with hugs and kisses should he ever find himself wearing a Manchester United kit. That probably will never happen so I just hope that every time he plays us he is not in top form. For when he has been, our boys never seem to get a real good crack at goal inside their 10 yard box. Lets show some respect for a change to an opposing player who deserves it for his on field play and the fact that he leads by example.

Will his club form drop to the same level of his international level?
