United confirm Falcao exit

Manchester-United-v-Arsenal (2)Manchester United have told Radamel Falcao that he will not be at Old Trafford next season, as the club has chosen not to sign the Colombian on a permanent deal.

Ian Ladyman of the Daily Mail reported on Sunday that the 29-year-old has been informed by the club he will be let go in the summer, after failing to impress during his loan spell this season.

Arrived late on deadline day from Monaco, Falcao scored just four goals in 26 Premier League games and failed to show the form that had made him one of the world’s best strikers at Porto and Atletico Madrid.

“The Colombian international wanted to stay at United but Van Gaal told him that his record of four goals in 29 appearances during his season on loan from Monaco wasn’t enough to justify his retention,” wrote Ladyman.
