Manchester United have moved in for FC Dnipro star Yevhen Konoplyanka.
Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the Ukrainian and failed in a last minute deadline day bid to bring the highly rated midfielder to the Premier League in January but United are now favourites to secure the 24-year-old’s signature this summer.
Konoplyanka helped Dnipro qualify for the Champions League with eight goals in 27 appearances last season and believes he can be a hit at United with a £12million bid enough to lure him away from the Dnipro-Arena.
The deal is expected to be completed within the next 72 hours.
Where would Konoplyanka fit in at United and who would make way for him? With rumours Michael Carrick’s future is somewhat uncertain in the mind of the new manager, it’s beginning to look like there really could be a complete overhaul.
Who else faces the axe?
