United & Palace reach agreement for Wilfried Zaha

Wilfried Zaha PalaceManchester United, Crystal Palace and Wilfried Zaha have reached an agreement for the player to join Manchester United in July 2013.

The player is having a medical in Manchester today (Friday 25 January).

There will be no further comment by any party until Wilfried joins United in July 2013, although Sir Alex did speak briefly about the deal at his Friday morning press-conference.

“As we like to do, we sign young players with potential,” the manager said.

“We can also develop players well here. That’s proved to be the case many times.

“Hopefully the boy will enjoy it coming here when he eventually does join us in the summer.”

Good signing?

    Great! I am so happy!

He looks like a solid prospect. Hopefully he will develop into a world beater.

Now for the Victors Wanyama and Fischer and a quality left winger and we’re done.

Tom Cleverley, Davide Petrucci, Jesse Lingard and Ryan Tunnicliffe should be able to hold the fort for a very long time in the middle.

Keane and Wootten should fit in nicely with Evans, Smalling and Jones as the next in liners to take over from Vida and Ferdinand

    United’s future looks bright.

    • @The_Philosopher: Tom Cleverley hasn’t even proved himself, slow down with those young names.

In fact the only relevant name you mention is Victor Wanyama as he is a player who will address some of our issues.

Valencia needed a deputy. This is the man.

  • I am tired of media (BBC) claiming that Zaha has “made it.” He still has A LOT to prove and may not be able to swim in rough waters of competitiion.

Anyone can get to the top… staying at the top is much harder.
