United will get back to winning ways at the Britannia

Manchester United travel to the Britannia Stadium to take on struggling Stoke and look cracking value at 1.62 with Betfred to get back to winning ways.

The Red Devils have tasted defeat against Chelsea in the FA Cup and in the league last weekend against arch rivals City in their last two matches, but the stats are heavily in their favour as far as this fixture is concerned.

They have won eight and lost none of nine previous Premier League games against Stoke and have not lost to them in the league since December 1984.

Sir Alex’s side are also unbeaten in eight away league games (W6,D2), and if they avoid defeat here will set the longest unbeaten run on the road this season.

As far as the first goalscorer is concerned the two players to concentrate on according to the stats are Robin van Persie and Javier Hernandez.

The former has now failed to score in 685 minutes of football in all competitions for the club, but has netted seven goals in six league games against Stoke – including one on his only appearance against them for United.

He can be backed at a standout 5 with Coral to bag the opener and even money (2) with bet365 and Boylesports to net anytime.

Hernandez has scored four goals in just four Premier League starts against the Potters, and is a 6 chance with Coral and Ladbrokes to open the scoring and a best of 2.75 with sportingbet to get on the scoresheet during the 90 minutes.

One bet that does make plenty of appeal is for United to win to nil at the 2.45 on offer with Ladbrokes as Stoke have managed just two goals in their last six league games and one of those came from the penalty spot.

I fancy United to register a comfortable 3-0 success, and that outcome is chalked up at 12 with Coral.
