In-form United to continue domination against Spurs

United look good value at 2.4 with bet365 and Coral to beat Spurs at White Hart Lane and maintain their healthy advantage at the top of the table.

Yes, Sir Alex Ferguson’s team did lose to Spurs at Old Trafford earlier in the season but that was during a spell where United kept on conceding first and it ended a run of 22 Premier League games without a win for Spurs against the Red Devils (D5,L17).

They have won eight and lost none of their last 11 PL matches at White Hart Lane, and the gaffer seems to have fixed the problem of them being slow out of the blocks as they have now opened the scoring in their last nine games – including against Man City and Liverpool.

They also have a striker in Robin van Persie who is in red-hot form and with Wayne Rooney marking his return to action with the winning goal against West Ham in the FA Cup in midweek have a duo capable of causing the Spurs defence all sorts of problems.

The former has scored five goals in his last 10 PL games against Spurs, and nine goals in his last nine league games.

That makes him the obvious punt in the first goalscorer market at a tasty looking 5 with Ladbrokes.

However those looking for a bit of each-way value in the same market could do far worse than Ryan Giggs who is chalked up at 19 with Boylesports and has scored more league goals against the Lilywhites than versus any other opponent (10).

Backing United to win at half-time and full time also makes plenty of appeal at a standout 4.33 with Coral given their recent aforementioned record of starting quickly, and it is a bet which has been successful in four of their last five games.

I fancy United to triumph 3-1, and that scoreline can be backed at a best price of 21 with Coral.
