If there is risk involved in blooding him there is also risk involved in getting a new striker in (considerably more knowing the transfer fees). I would therefore like to retain the current bunch of strikers rotating between Saha and Rossi as the frontmen and if needed go another striker in the winter or next year. However, last few seasons have proved that a catch up game in the latter part of season is a huge challenge so in case Rossi/Saha don't work out we might be looking a *failed* season again. And with the investment this summer bordering on 50 mill GBP, I doubt if that is an option. My guess therefore is that Gill/SAF would probably go for another striker but none of the big names (transfer fees > 15 mill GBP).
