United’s £100k+ Christmas party, useless Shorey, Arsenal will stumble and of course, Rooney is better than Kaka
A quick round up of the top United news of today (and yesterday).
As Marco reports, the Manchester United players are preparing to spend over £100k on their Christmas party. I’m pretty sure that Arsenal players will be getting together for another evening playing flutes and dancing to Brazilian table drums (with the highlight of the party coming from Fabregas and Flamini re-enacting their Arsenal goal celebrations), but then again, that’s the price you pay for being boring as fuck on top (not talking about the football, mind you).
On a serious note, considering that a major chunk of this team is going to grow up together in the nest 4-5 years it’s good to see the United players bonding. Some might consider this as players taking their eyes off the target, but a well-rounded life is key to being a better footballer, and well, I can’t in good conscience say that partying hard is bad
There are other stories as well (I’ll come to Arsenal soon enough): Nickey Shorey is being rumoured as a potential January target for Manchester United. Bollocks. If anything, players like Simpson, Evans, Pique and O’Shea deserve more games and they should be playing across the back four, subbing for Brown and Evra more often. It’s unfortunate that two of our defenders are permanently on the doc’s table and that leaves us a bit thin across the back, for sure.
Perhaps after the Christmas run of games we’ll be able to judge better if we need a new player, but we have 10 quality defenders on the books already (4 mentioned above, Brown, Rio, Vidic, Evra, Neville, Silvestre), surely if any money is to be spent in January, it can be spent on renewing contracts for a few key players (or buying a striker to reduce our dependence on Saha).
Maradona says that Rooney is better than Kaka - IMO this is more of a takedown for the Brazilian Kaka than it is praise for Rooney. To be fair, even Rooney was more consistent and performing at a better level overall than Kaka last season, so Maradona does have a point.
And lastly, Sir Alex says again that Arsenal will stumble. Sure they will, but I don’t want us to sit around and wait - we need to start closing off the easy games and turning things up a notch in the big games, because so far this season we’ve been stuck in 2nd gear (remember the start?).
Roma are up next week, Liverpool on the next weekend, will be interesting to see which team Fergie sends out to Rome.
Alright then, that’s all for today, over to you guys.

You are a bit of a stupid idiot aren’t you?
Arsenal are not boring. I remember Eboue dressing in a tiger outfit and scaring adebayor last Christmas!
Arsenal are the BEST!

cool………..sign anelka!
December 5th, 2007 at 16:21
Any blog which mentions how great an asset O’Shit is is clearly flawed.
Sorry, but United are over the hill now. Ronaldo’s one season of wonder is well and truely over (and he wasn’t even the world’s best player in that season… shame :(), Giggs, Scholes, Neville, VDS and Saha are all set for the scrapheap.
What’s the chances of ol’ Purple nose getting the tick-tack from an american dictator desperate to keep up with his Chelsea equivalent? He’s clearly lost it.
December 5th, 2007 at 16:47
[Goofle]
It is so obvious you are lost soul [arsenal fan]. what do you mean. lets see how u play this night without Fabregas, Hleb and flamini in your middle.
December 5th, 2007 at 16:52
[Digginho]
Maybe when next you come into another blog to rant, come in with your head straight and with facts. The world best player has not been selected. Kaka is european footballer of the yr. And for the legends you mentioned, we have capable replacements for them.
December 5th, 2007 at 17:10
Rooney better than Kaka ! Not even in the top 20 best players in the world.
English fans need to get their feet on the ground if we want to improve and qualify for the next competition.
December 5th, 2007 at 17:53
Eduardo
When you have something reasonable to rant about, and use your head without bias. you can post again How can u say rooney is not top 20 in the world. Apart from fabregas. which of your players could be grouped in the same category as him. Better go think of the next game and your injury list

can we get this guy already
December 5th, 2007 at 19:16
What the Hell! Have we been raided by the second lowest life form on the planet other than Scousers? Yes! It appears we have a few ArsenHOLE fans who have decided to bless us with their comments. Two words for you mates, SOD OFF!
Goofie; The name says it all. Go back and crawl under the rock you came from you pillock.
Insulting people and calling them stupid is not the style we like to use on this blog. You have forced me to reduce myself to the lowest common denominator which is like you and start throwing insults. If you don’t like United than go back to the shit hole blog you came from AND TAKE DIGGINHO WITH YOU. We don’t mind fans of other teams coming on here and debating with us but when all they can come up with is rude comments that lack any clarity or intellectual grounds, then they can, once again SOD OFF! YOU’RE A SAD LITTLE MAN AREN’T YOU?
December 5th, 2007 at 19:23
Gator; Getting Huntelaar would be a dream come true. I have been pushing for this guy for a year now. He’s far more than just a good bicycle kicker, he is just an instinctive goal scorer who also has a great ability to trap balls and first time them into the net. United are not good at taking half chances. They have to be full chances or nothing. Huntelaar scores half of his goals from what look like half chances. We can only hope that SAF sees the light and buys this great Dutchman.
December 5th, 2007 at 19:28
Huntelaar completes the puzzle for us lads, hes KlAAS! Fingers crossed
December 5th, 2007 at 21:40
grognard for someone from canada, you dialect is very similar to an englishmens,
December 5th, 2007 at 21:56
Adil Alhinai; I have very strong English roots having spent a lot of my life growing up with close friends from Manchester. While hanging around them and their parents you actually pick up a lot of the dialect and start using it. Before you know it, you sound like an Englishman. I’m often caught using terms like pillock, sod off, tosser, wanker etc quite often. Watching a lot of my all time favorite show Black Adder helps too. These early roots have a lot to do with my passion for football. When you are raised by a former Panathinaikos player (late 1930’s)and are surrounded by Englishman and Greeks all your life, you can’t help but be influenced by the great game.
December 5th, 2007 at 22:19
I am a HUGE fan of Huntelaar. He’s probably my favorite player outside of Manchester. He’s the out-and-out striker that I think we need dearly. And actually, I’ve used him in my starting Man Utd formation on FIFA 07/08 for quite a while now (sorry Carlitos). Would it not be great to have “the bicycle kick king” in Manchester?!
December 5th, 2007 at 22:45
I can only drool of the one and only ronaldo playing with the new ronaldo the new ronaldinho and the new van nistelrooy.
…oh yea and sod off to the scientologist
December 5th, 2007 at 23:10
alan smith alan smith alan smith with the assist to nic 2 points off the gun club. come back any time and tell us how great you guys are.
December 6th, 2007 at 0:12
Haha, those Arsenal fans really chose their night to come on here taunting us didn’t they? This guy who calls himself Eduardo in particular - his namesake had a particularly interesting night tonight. I especially loved when he gave the ball to Newcastle to allow them to score. How much did he cost?
December 6th, 2007 at 3:13
yeah, first of many points that Arsenal will drop. They are not used to conceding…
Great stuff.. 4 points behind. Game on!
December 6th, 2007 at 3:47
Go go Butty Smith..he costs 2 points and that Sir Alex is a prophet, we will hit top gear next weekend!
December 6th, 2007 at 4:20
fergie was right..his predictions coming true..united will be top by jan 1…and all the arseholes..please crawl back into the holes u came from..
December 6th, 2007 at 8:36
{jameso}
last eve before i left for my exam we had predicted a draw for arsenal glad to see it came true, arsenal really sucks without fab n hleb. man utd still rules, playing the we are without our key players and still four points off and am sure by christmas we shall have overtaken them.
i predict a win for them against boro but a draw again versus chelsea, we only need to beat derby 7nil(fergy pliz field the firing squad and blindfold them and command them to shoot on site, i see anderson getting his first goal in that game) and also beat the dippers then arsenal bye bye..
i also think that arsenal plays well when things goes their way but when they start stumbling, they really stumble..
seems like i missed the arsenal fans here coz i’d have luvd to debate last nyts match with em.
December 6th, 2007 at 8:50
and bout the party..they don have a game till sunday so what wrong with the lads having a good time.. only prob i have is that they should invite their WAGS we dont want players playing everton bringing domestic problems from home since i know the WAGS wont take it lightly.
and its also very good for bonding, sometimes i admire how arsenal players have bonded off the field and it can be seen on the pitch.
its still a rumour though
December 6th, 2007 at 9:02
[Man utd Jaluo]
It horrible, but i watch arsenal games (hoping thy would loose). I have come to see that without Hleb, arsenal’s 1 touch football is no where to be seen (wigan game & now newcastle). If i could see Sammy, i would give him 2 kisses (sure SAF would do that for us) he has done it for us again.
But i would disagree with you on the boro game. I see another draw, cos those same players would not be back 4 that game, and playing the no of games they are playing with a depleted squad, they just can’t cope. I see u toping the league after theLIVERFOOL game. Cos watching the game, the chelsea players would now believe they can even go & beat them at the emirates. They were awful in the 2nd half against Villa. But newcastle did not allow them to escape after another bad game 4rm them.
December 6th, 2007 at 9:09
i really wish that yo prediction bout boro comes true. with chelsea they are jus another boring lot and what arsenal will do is attack them and chelsea will do what they do best, retreat and defend the whole game since arsenal will be without there attack minded mids who know how to break defences i only see them playing out a draw.(chelsea really sucked playing westham)
December 6th, 2007 at 9:11
Fergie has been in this situations b4, it is a known thing that injuries always come in the course of a season, arsenal’s woes have just started. Even if their players (HLEB, FAB & FLAMINI) come back 4rm injuries, do you xpect them to perform well at 100%, definitely not against a team like chelsea (thy r on a run as well & want to catch up too).
Again i see us toping after the liverfool game. After that no looking back (Back where we belong)
December 6th, 2007 at 9:17
[ Man utd jaluo]
Chelsea knew how to play arsenal when they had a full team. Now that they are without key players, anything can happen mate. West Ham remember is a well balanced team. Ars-hoos are disjointed right now mate.
December 6th, 2007 at 9:28
i must admit its fun seeing them (arsenal) crumbling down. ooh what a relief and fergy was right predicting tough times ahead for the, i see the pshycological warfare is really affecting them, fergy summed it up well “even arsenal know that they will lose points”
December 6th, 2007 at 9:57
I second ur comment #29 mate
December 6th, 2007 at 10:00
We are all getting a little ahead of ourselves and to be honest we are starting to sound like Scousers. The talk of Arsenal’s fall from grace is just rubbish. Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t believe they have lost yet in the EPL and we have lost two games. Don’t get me wrong, I hope that the Gooners fall from grace with a thud, but all this burying them before they are dead is just nonsense. Lets overtake them first before we start celebrating in the seats.
December 6th, 2007 at 10:20
let me correct u there grognard. i dont see whats wrong with celebrating when our rival stumbles and rem its only a weeks high which is tottally dependant on the next game whether they drop points again or not or our team gains ground on them.
i think the championship then would be boring if we would be watching and waiting till the end of the season to celebrate. and what jameso and i r doing is what builds the passion we got for our teams.
again we are jus saying what we’d prefer to c in the next coming weeks and there aint nothing wrong, i mean guyz bet about almost anything and anything in EPL like who will score the first goal in the weekend so whats wrong with us trying to reason and figure out when arsenal will lose the top spot to us.
p.s i have no kind words for them gooners
December 6th, 2007 at 11:34
Grognard: Nobody wins as far as you concerned. Lighten up . Its great to see areshole stumble. When we drew earlier this season everyone was laughing. Now its payback time.
December 6th, 2007 at 11:40
We have to celebrate Arsenal’s draw. It is as simple as that. In a close fight you celebrate on 2 occasions: when you win and when your opponent stumbles. Furthermore, Arsenal’s stumble adds fire onto our side. Because it means that if we win our next 2 games and they stumble again during that time, we shall only be separated by a thin line. Arsenal could stumble against ‘Boro. They are meeting a Boro side which is in the same circumstances as Newcastle. After a string of poor performances Boro’s manager Gareth Southgate has his head on the wanted list and so he will tell his guys to out there and fight it totth and nail. I expect another draw at least….
December 6th, 2007 at 11:47
Hiram and Jameso, I can’t believe you actually think there’s a possiblity of Middlesborough drawing with Arsenal, true Hiram the circumstances are the same but the big difference is that Middlesborough have very few premiership quality players, Mido and Woodgate and possibly Downing, Arsenal have the quality even without Hleb and Fabregas( whom by the way is likely to be playing aginst ‘Boro anyway ) to beat a relegation team, there’s only a small chance that they won’t beat them. But I expect a draw against Chelsea, possibly a loss. And I think Grognard just means it would be stupid for us to celebrate a draw and then maybe end up drawing and falling even further behind in the next match, possibly against Derby (haha that would be the result of the season), you know? But Grognard they have reason to be happy, the draw was unexpected and therefore a pleasing result for our fans.
December 6th, 2007 at 12:24
this site is called redrants..so all those tru red fans out thea come on and lets rant.
to all man utd fans there, if u aint happy arsenal drew yesterday put your hands up and if r indeed happy, come and lets rant,,grognard hope yo getting the point.
December 6th, 2007 at 12:24
[Comma]
Hiram is just trying to say what Man utd jaluo & i r saying mate. Boro is going into the game with arshole, in the same circumstances as newcastle did (to be honest i did’t xpect dose geordies to produce that result]. Same wit borough. We all know what it is to play a team who r fighting relegation (West Ham last yr; Bolton ds yr).
And Grog, loosen up. Are u trying to tell me Derby will take a point away from us. Hell no mate. Let me remind of our fixtures & Arsholes fixtures, to show you were the confidence is coming from
Arshole
Vs borough (A); Vs Chelski (H); Vs Totehnm (H); Vs Pompy (A); Vs Everton (A)
Man Utd ( Champions )
Vs Derby(with Paul Jewel, rem Wigan) (H); Vs Liverfool (A); Vs Everton (H); Vs Sunderland (A); Vs West Ham (A)
Do you now see where the confidence is coming from mate.
December 6th, 2007 at 12:33
Comma
Point of correction mate, against Borough it is the same team dt will play. thre would still be no fabregas, Hleb, Flamini. They r racing to be fit 4 d game against chelski.
December 6th, 2007 at 12:49
[ Grognard ]
Not satisfied yet. Well you should have seen what i went thru at the office wen we lost to both Man City (wrong side of manchester), and bolton( damn those suckers). I am really enjoying myself with the Arshole fans around me now. (telling me the title is wrapped up). Imaging saying somthing like that in December.
Fellow red ranters lets enjoy burying those arshole fans. Grog i am suspecting you have a relation who is an arshole fan.
December 6th, 2007 at 12:56
[ Man utd jaluo ]
Well said mate, maybe Grog has a soft spot 4 those arsholes.
December 6th, 2007 at 13:16
“Boro is going into the game with arshole, in the same circumstances as newcastle did (to be honest i did’t xpect dose geordies to produce that result]. Same wit borough. We all know what it is to play a team who r fighting relegation (West Ham last yr; Bolton ds yr).” I just pointed out that the difference is Middlesborough have no goalscorers, West Ham last year had plenty, and Bolton always have a chance of scoring with Anelka, there is a big difference. And how do you know that none of the players will be back? I just assumed at least one or two would be back as they are all minor injuryies. And Man Utd jaluo is it that hard to spell normally, rather than ‘u’ and all the rest of the shortened crap. But Jameso you make a good point about the fixtures, the futures looking bright
But we all always had faith that we would finish ahead of Arsenal anyway.
December 6th, 2007 at 13:25
conor as long as u understand what u r reading whats the prob.
December 6th, 2007 at 14:26
Conor
Sometimes you do not need a proven goal scorer. a lucky break from a corner, a set-piece or something, and you get a goal. On the update on the injury list. The arshole fans confirmed to me mate, and i read in one of the dailies. those same players are out of the borough game.
On Man utd jaluo’s rants. i guess they r ok, common mate give a guy a break.
December 6th, 2007 at 16:49
I think Newcastle played brilliantly. Great result.
Don’t worry guys. Arse-nal just need to draw 1 more game. Don’t particularly care which one. They still have to come to Old Trafford, remember?
December 6th, 2007 at 17:43
It amazes me how many of you cannot read and how quickly you can just jump to conclusions. I just got roasted over the fire and almost accused of being an Arsenal supporter because I suggested a little controlled optimism and restrained passion because we were still behind them by four points. Instead I got criticized by gamblers and blokes who can’t handle the stress from Gooner fans at work. NOT MY PROBLEM!
And JUST1N, payback only happens when MANCHESTER UNITED beat Arsenal. Not when somebody else does it for us. Grab a pair and learn to fight your own battles instead of having your one legged sister from Newcastle do it for you. So how is that for lightening up?
I come from a culture where winning is everything and celebrating like you are a champion when you are in second place is the sign of brain disease. I have no problem celebrating United and it’s climb to the top but just last week some of the same people were complaining and crying that the Gooners were going to walk away with the title because we lost to Bolton. I say to all of you, grab a shot of tequila and take a Valium because you need to calm down a bit and get the hell off my case.
Claiming that we should not get ahead of ourselves and stop burying a very strong opponent is nothing less than what SAF would say but because it was me, I get roasted over the fire for it. Well that’s fine I guess. I don’t mind. What I do mind is being completely misunderstood and then accused of being either an Arsenal supporter or one who bows down to one. That was pretty fucking low considering the contribution that I have made to this site and the clear allegiance I have to United.
The fact that I choose to enjoy and support the team with composure, intelligence, sobriety as well as respect for my opponent should not be seen as threatening. After all, it was I who first let a couple of Arsenal fans have it the other day on this site. I guess that makes me soft on them. Only an asshole and an illiterate would think that. But then I don’t come from a country where thugs meet at the end of a game to beat the shit out of each other because they don’t support the right team. Yeah, I guess that makes me soft.
December 6th, 2007 at 18:20
Grognard
That is going over the board; & no one said anything bout u being an asshole or anything. I have heard bout ur legendary contribution to d site and seen 4 myself. But for u to go to d extent of insulting fellow united fans show u don not hav respect 4 us ranters. Really disappointed in you.
What i would not take is u shiting our great country mate. At least we r bringing the premiership to u suckers. why don’t u go sell ur own league and see if anybody would buy it. Some of us were born into this tradition and we passionately support our team. (BEING BATTERED IN ROME BY THE POLICE AND ALL) guess you were not there, or else u would understand. I guess pple like u started supporting the red devils when times were good, so what would u know about when the team wasn’t winning anything. Yes mate we r passionate cos united blood runs thru us and we xpect 100% contribution from our players (letting dem know heroes who have worn d shirt b4)
So next time mate u wankers want to get personal do not go near abusing our great country cos we sweat tooth & nail to go watch our beloved team or clubs. That is why u lads go to watch Bristol city games, A stadium is full when Hull city is playing cardiff. Not cos u r one of the lucky *1 billion* viewers who the prem is being beamed to.
December 6th, 2007 at 18:27
Grognard
I guess mate u r fucking noble man & would apologize to all brits 4 that statement, or if not, u would have lost my total respect. UNITED FANS DO NOT SHIT OF FUCK THEMSELVES !!!!!!!!!!!!
December 6th, 2007 at 18:51
Grognard
Lastly we r not loosers. I for one am a fucking investment banker mate. But i would even give up my job to do anything for my beloved tem. FOr one mate, i would travel with the team (hope to be at the roma game even if it dosen’t matter). Again cos the united blood is running thru me that is why i wouldn’t take any shit 4rm the fucking wankers (arshole fans) from work, and i would definitely not go as fucking low mat to dis my fellow mates. WE DESERVE AN APOLOGY 4RM YOU.
December 6th, 2007 at 19:18
[Jameso]
I understand where you are coming from. But the facts you mentioned is not going to change what Grognard really thinks. Honestly, I didn’t see where he demeaned England - it would be great if you could quote it.
Secondly, the fact that he mentioned he is from a culture where winning means everything itself speaks for it. You can’t really expect him to be supporting Hull City can you? You were lucky to be from Manchester, hence you must certainly feel privileged over the other united fans from abroad who would have to rely on Television.
And about Arsenal dropping points, yes, it is a perfectly good feeling to see that. It’s nice to rub it in to your Arsenal mates at work. But is it wrong for someone to come forward and express caution? I remember Chelsea fans going over the moon last season when we dropped points. But, you’d have to think all that was a little premature, wasn’t it? My point is, you are free to rejoice or be cautiously optimistic… but none of you have the right to drive it in people’s heads that your opinion is the opinion. That goes for either of you — the one who thought rejoicing was cheap, as well as the one who thought that rejoicing was great.
We have our right to be entitled to our opinions. And Jameso, don’t go around asking for someone to apologise. If you do have such an issue, contact me. I’ll resolve it.
December 6th, 2007 at 19:45
RR
Am sorry but i loose it wen i read other pple tryin to shit us, i quote Grog as sayin ” Only an asshole and an illiterate would think that. But then I don’t come from a country where thugs meet at the end of a game to beat the shit out of each other because they don’t support the right team.”
That in itself mate is an insult.
I didn’t say Grog supports hull city. I said brits are fucking passionate supporters of their teams. That is why you would see a stadium is full when Hull City is playing Cardiff or when Bristol city is playing a cup game with preston. We brits r passionate bout our teams. tradition that dates back to the 1800s. wen some of these teams were on a roll. It is just a pity TV audience makes the big teams now get bigger (not that am complaining- Fucking bless SAF)
some of us have seen evrthng supportng our team (need i mention again, the roma game in Italy last season )
Again RR, i pologise mate if i went over the fucking board. Guess i let my emotion take over me fucking brains. But i wouldn’t stand and see fellow ranters insult us man utd fans. We shouldn’t do that.
Welcome back RR. Hope what u did wasn’t too hectic. I for one missed ur topics. Don’t get m wrong ur mate did a fantastic job.
December 6th, 2007 at 20:48
Jameso; For an investment banker you have serious anger issues and need to consult a dictionary and or thesaurus as well because plain English seems to be a bit of a problem for you. I never put down England nor did I insult anyone specifically by calling them names. I was simply calling for a little restraint and a sign sportsmanship and a bit of class. Clearly you are having issues with my request. Perhaps my line referring in general to assholes and illiterates hit a little too close to home for you? I don’t know but it was intended to make some people out there realize that they were reacting the wrong way. And I’ll be fucking flogged and flayed before I apologize for my comments because nothing I said was incorrect. Quite often the truth hurts mate. If you are so sensitive and blindly loyal to the point of name calling and violent behavior, then go see a shrink. Don’t mistake passion and loyalty for the lunatic fringe.
I personally don’t give a rats ass about how passionate you are for your team, which also happens to be my team and the team I most support in all sports. Canadians are also passionate about their teams and MOST of us actually carry ourselves with a bit of class. We don’t pop the cork on the champaign until we actually win something and trash talking is not the way we deal with our opponents. That’s an American illness that seems to be spreading. I guess as a nation we suffer from a bit of an inferiority complex because we are humble, non violent types and we don’t count our chickens before they are hatched. We also show hatred to our opponents but we temper it with respect also. Get a grip and relax. Also try to read something without getting so bloody emotional. In that I am often guilty too so I can relate.
And by the way Jameso, I am as much a Man Utd fan as you are so stop referring to me as a ranter because I’m not a serial Arsenal fan who just infiltrated this site. I am a loyal member like you are. All I was saying was the supporters should contain their joy because we hadn’t won anything yet. Was that so fucking wrong? I don’t think so.
December 7th, 2007 at 12:36
while grognard’s comment seem a bit extreme, i wuld like to second his idea of controlled optimism. Arsenal havent exactly stumbled yet. Yes, their performance was bad against the toon, but they’re still 4 points ahead of the us. The week they play chelsea, we play l’pool…. while everyone has been quick to rule them out, pool is playin some decent football now (they have scored more goals than us)…. i’d like us to get thru that game (and the game b4 that) unscathed b4 i jump to any conclusions.
December 7th, 2007 at 13:38
["We don’t pop the cork on the champaign until we actually win something..."}
If I can borrow from Nissan Motor Corp:
Life’s a journey, enjoy the ride! (not just the destination).
December 7th, 2007 at 17:47
Karl; Enjoying the ride doesn’t mean getting drunk on the way there. Thats how accidents happen. I’ll enjoy the progress to the end of the season but I will become euphoric only after we have officially won something. Also my points were more about respecting our opposition and realizing that they aren’t pushovers. Is a bit of sportsmanship such a bad thing to show these days. 4 points is four points. I bet Chelski fans sounded as silly last year claiming they would win this weekend while United would lose and then we could go out to the pub and get hammered etc etc etc. The EPL and the CL are marathons, not sprints. Controlled optimism is the ticket here, not riotous celebrations.
December 7th, 2007 at 23:11
wow, i like this argument, as per my opinion non of you guys is wrong.
i come from a different part of the world like you guyz but we do all happen to be fanatics of the same club thus advocating for the same issues.
In Grognard’s support, four point is 4 points and that shouldnt cause all this rakus, fracus and circus, perharps a little bit of a jovial mood can work but not to the extent a psychologist will tell after reading the comments of you guys.
But on the other side of the coin, i prefer to support what Jameso and his contemporaries are celebrating for. When SAF assured the whole world (arsenal players inclusive) that arsenal is to drop points, he wasnt mad. He’s said it on several occassions, december determines alot who the champion is gonna be, so if someone flatters just at the beginning of december before the real nitty-gritty stuff starts, for sure it calls for alarm on his side and for celebrations on his opponents side
On many accasions, united has always come from behind while chasing those on form teams and went on to win the trophy. In fact, Grognard dont fault
your fellow fans, they learning the trade from their manager, THAT is what they call mind games(to who they are aimed at, i dont know). You have to accept it the hard way. My two arse anal fan brothers are already shaking coz of this jubilation.
Lastly if i can borrow quotes from Formula One, Alonso told the talented young English F1 driver in the names of Lewis Hamiliton, that whatever
bad lucks that have happened to him will at one time before the season ends befall Hamiliton, and indeed it did happen. You can never have a clean run all season long,no no no God is also just. When united had a bad start all arse hole fans were jubilating. To see that we are still in their necks in contention when they havent falted! Why not make a toast when they do falter, coz then we know they will never see us again not until we are going home with a back to back.
Guyz celebrate!, arsenal funs are not noisy just over there, this way i cant tell, you cant report for work the next day after a loss on saturday or
sunday if u happen to be a Red Devil…
By the way i did enjoy serving the queen on her last visit to my country for the Chogm meeting.

Nice write up Jay Jay. Good points. I think what has me always concerned is the fact that Arsenal was once undefeated for the whole season and that Chelsea only lost one game the season after. United are four points behind but if these buggers from London don’t lose, we have to hope for them to draw many times and for us to not lose anymore games. We are great but with all the games we have to play in all competitions, we will have a hiccup somewhere I’m sure. Arsenal on the other hand I feel will hiccup in the Champions League. They seem very determined to win the EPL. It is vital we not lose more than one more game and that we definitely beat Liverpool and Arsenal at home. If we falter in these games and don’t get maximum points I will begin to really worry. Four points is four points. I’d give anything for that to be reversed. The frustrating thing is that even without Fabregas and Hleb those tossers still find a way not to lose a match. That’s gritty. I’m still not confident United can accomplish shit without Rooney or Ronaldo in their lineup. They have our number when it comes to depth.

Good points Jay Jay.
Grognard, I agree with you. I also feel that we should savour these little victories.
I know we have not won the league yet, but if we watch football and only enjoy the end of the season, then it is a waste of almost a year of our lives.
I will promise you one thing though. If we win at Anfield, I WILL be celebrating as if we’ve won the league. That is regardless of whether I personally believe that Liverpool does not have a chance to win it anymore.
One last thing, we have a much better squad than Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and City. We need luck to win the PL though, but so do all of them. We should never underestimate our opponents, but they should be the ones fearing us. We are the champions after all, not Arsenal.
