I think the ref. should note players who are disruptive and constantly cursing and the FA could issue fines rather than booking them (unless they’re really overboard).

They should also consider reviewing video evidence of really bad dives the ref. misses and fine or ban those payers to (like they do with fouls/incidents the ref. misses).

2nd about the players.
Yes shit happens.. but we are talking about a professional level.
Where you get paid for doing the job right.
While I agree using bad words is not right, I still believe this is an unevitable part of the game.
When a player does a critical mistake he gets bashed by the fans and the media.
When a ref does a critical mistake he get’s bashed too.

There is a solution though: video recordings assisting the refs.
In american football, when there’s a call from the ref, but you think it’s wrong you can pause the game and analyze the video.
IF this is possible players don’t need to argue with the ref.
But I remember Blatter dismissing the idea saying [Ref's mistakes are also part of the game]

Calling them a shame to the game is exaggerated though. Rooney and Smith are the kind of players who put their 120% in each game and make the game professional and worth the money.
