Confirmed: Barcelona squad to face Man Utd

Manchester United host Barcelona in the first leg of our Champions League quarter-final at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.

The Spanish La Liga giants have been busy over the past week – drawing 4-4 at 10-man Villarreal last Tuesday and then beating 10-man Atletico Madrid on Saturday night.

Ernesto Valverde’s side now have an 11-point lead at the top, meaning they are in a position to rest their stars ahead of the second leg at the Camp Nou on Tuesday 16 April.

The 22-man Barcelona squad that have travelled to England for the first leg this week are as follows:

Goalkeepers: Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Jasper Cillessen, Inaki Pena
Defenders: Sergi Roberto, Nelson Semedo, Gerard Pique, Clement Lenglet, Samuel Umtiti, Jean-Clair Todibo, Jeison Murillo, Jordi Alba
Midfielders: Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic, Arthur Melo, Kevin-Prince Boateng, Arturo Vidal, Carles Alena
Forwards: Philippe Coutinho, Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele, Malcom, Lionel Messi

Ernesto Valverde virtually has a full squad to pick from with the exception of Thomas Vermaelen, who wouldn’t have been expected to face us anyway.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is due to have his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
