Confirmed lineups: Leicester vs Man Utd

Manchester United go to the King Power Stadium this afternoon needing to avoid defeat to finish in the top four.

We start the final day in third, above Chelsea on goal difference and above Leicester City by one point. The Blues are at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Leicester have played just two games during the time we have played four and we’re hoping the team have had a sufficient rest since Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with West Ham United.

The two teams are confirmed as:

Manchester United

David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams; Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba; Mason Greenwood, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial

Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Eric Bailly, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Scott McTominay, Fred, Daniel James, Jesse Lingard, Juan Mata, Odion Ighalo

The starting XI is as we expected. Eric Bailly has returned to the substitutes bench following his head injury, but Luke Shaw remains sidelined.

Leicester City

Kasper Schmeichel; James Justin, Wes Morgan, Jonny Evans; Marc Albrighton, Wilfried Ndidi, Hamsa Choudhury, Youri Tielemans, Luke Thomas; Kelechi Iheadnacho, Jamie Vardy

Substitutes: Danny Ward, Ryan Bennett, Namplays Mendy, Dennis Praet, Matty James, Harvey Barnes, Demarai Gray, Ayoze Perez, George Hirst

It looks as though Brendan Rodgers has opted for a 3-5-2 formation this afternoon with James Justin moving to centre-back and Ryan Bennett dropping out following his dire performance in last weekend’s 3-0 hammering at Tottenham Hotspur.

Playmaker Harvey Barnes drops to the bench too as Kelechi Iheanacho is restored to the starting XI. A midfield three may have been selected to try nullify Bruno Fernandes’ influence.
