Confirmed Lineups: Man Utd vs Watford

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes charge of his first game today since being confirmed as the permanent Manchester United manager by signing a three-year contract on Thursday.

Today’s visitors to Old Trafford, Watford, have been thrashed in each of their last two away games but start the weekend in the top half.

The two teams are confirmed as:

Manchester United

David de Gea; Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Luke Shaw; Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Paul Pogba; Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial

Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Diogo Dalot, Marcos Rojo, Andreas Pereira, Fred, Jesse Lingard, Romelu Lukaku

Victor Lindelof is missing from today’s matchday squad so Phil Jones comes in to partner Chris Smalling in the middle of an all-English back four. Juan Mata will either start as the number 10 or down the right wing in our front three. Ole has stuck with his preferred central midfield three. Romelu Lukaku is fit enough to take his place among the substitutes.

Watford

Ben Foster; Daryl Janmaat, Christian Kabasele, Miguel Britos, Masina; Will Hughes, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Etienne Capoue, Roberto Pereyra; Troy Deeney, Gerard Deulofeu

Substitutes: Gomes, Craig Cathcart, Kiko Fermenia, Jose Holebas, Domingos Quina, Isaac Success, Andre Gray

Javi Gracia has made five changes to his starting lineup to the team that played before the international break. Former Manchester United youngster Ben Foster continues in goal for the Hornets.

Gerard Deulofeu will support Troy Deeney in attack with both Isaac Success and Andre Gray among the substitutes for the visitors.
