Confirmed Lineups: Wolves vs Man Utd

Manchester United are in action at Wolverhampton Wanderers with the opportunity to move into third place with a victory.

The confirmed lineups are as follows:

Manchester United

David de Gea; Ashley Young, Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Fred, Paul Pogba; Diogo Dalot, Romelu Lukaku, Jesse Lingard

Substitutes: Sergio Romero, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Andreas Pereira, Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata, Anthony Martial

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a number of surprises for this evening’s trip to Molineux. Victor Lindelof is back to restore his favourite back four, however, Scott McTominay and Fred both start in midfield. Nemanja Matic drops to the bench but there is no Ander Herrera in the squad after agreeing to join Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the week.

Diogo Dalot will play down the right wing and Jesse Lingard on the left, supporting striker Romelu Lukaku. Anthony Martial drops to the bench but Marcus Rashford is absent from the team this evening.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Rui Patricio; Ryan Bennett, Connor Coady, Willy Boly; Matt Doherty, Leo Dendoncker, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Neves, Ruben Vinagre; Raul Jimenez, Diogo Jota

Substitutes: John Ruddy, Jonny, Roman Saiss, Ivan Cavaleiro, Morgan Gibbs-White, Adama Traore, Douglas Costa

Nuno names ten of his strongest lineup with Ryan Bennett back from suspension to reunite in the Wolves’ back three. Leo Dendoncker has established himself as a regular starter recently and lines up alongside Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho. Ruebn Vinagre is in for Jonny at left-back in the only change from the manager’s strongest team.

Diogo Jota partners Raul Jimenez up front.
