A selection of the Manchester United supporters have praised the performance of Anthony Martial, who scored the opening goal in the club’s 1-1 Premier League draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium.
The France international broke the deadlock for the Red Devils with the first shot of the game in the 27th minute following an impressive team build-up leading to his left-footed strike.
Thereafter, he missed another gorgeous opportunity to double the advantage prior the break after he tripped over the ball when he was clear on goal with only Rui Patricio to beat.
In the second period, the Frenchman did not have much of a presence with the Wolves in control of the proceedings and ultimately, the hosts bagged the equaliser through a fantastic strike from Ruben Neves.
Paul Pogba had the opportunity to score the winner from the penalty spot for the Red Devils but the midfielder failed to grab the chance which meant that the game ended in a draw.
Despite the stalemate, the reaction has been largely positive towards Martial, who has now scored in back-to-back Premier League games at the beginning of the season.
Here are some of the responses on Twitter….

Negativity aside, Martial looks like he’s got a whole new lease of life back at #9, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka was excellent again tonight.

Martial my target man ?
— Shravan Kashyap (@shrawanbissaka) August 19, 2019
The 23-year-old was the main target man for the Red Devils during the course of the Wolves encounter and he managed to efficiently perform the role during the opening half of the contest.
In the second period, he could not find the same level of consistency, but he did link up delightfully with Pogba in the lead-up to the penalty, which his compatriot failed to convert.
