‘He’s not good enough’, these Man United fans slam 23-year-old’s display vs Aston Villa

A section of the Manchester United supporters have expressed their frustration over the performance of Andreas Pereira during the club’s 2-2 Premier League draw against Aston Villa on Sunday.

The Red Devils had the chance to close the eight-point gap to the Chelsea for the fourth Champions League spot but they failed to make the best use of the opportunity as they settled for a share of the spoils.

During the course of the game, there were a number of average performers for the club but some fans have been particularly unimpressed with Pereira, who has started 12 of the 14 league games this term.

Pereira did contribute with a sublime cross which led to United’s opening goal but barring this, he was largely disappointing with his distribution which has been the case for a while.

Against the Villains, Pereira was able to deliver just two of his seven crosses attempted while his long-range passing was likewise unimpressive with just three of his seven attempts finding his teammates.

As a result, some of the supporters are unsure what the Brazilian provides from the starting lineup and a few of them have taken to Twitter to criticise the midfielder’s showing on Sunday.

Apart from his distribution, the Brazilian struggled with the defensive aspect of his game and he should have done much better to close down Jack Grealish before the Villains’ skipper scored with a sublime curled effort.

Despite this, the 23-year-old continues to have the faith of manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who has defended his performance after the Villains clash by citing that he is ‘improving all the time’.
