Manchester United were comfortable 4-1 winners over Fulham at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Ashley Young, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku all scored for us in the first half as we went in 3-0 at the break.
The visitors pulled one back from the penalty spot midway through the first half before Marcus Rashford fired home a powerful effort in the final 10 minutes to make it 4-1.
Diogo Dalot put in another excellent performance at right-back this afternoon in what was only his second Premier League start following his full debut in our 2-2 draw with Arsenal midweek.
The 19-year-old was very comfortable in dealing with Ryan Sessegnon defensively, whilst he also got forward and put some teasing balls into the penalty area.
Speaking after our 4-1 win, Jose Mourinho has this to say about Diogo Dalot to MUTV:
“I’m not a scout, I have no chance to do that. I can do it with Dalot because he is Portuguese. I can control that market pretty well. He’s a player with fantastic potential.”
Antonio Valencia remains out of the matchday squad and has only featured once over the past two months. Diogo Dalot stayed in the starting lineup today following Luke Shaw’s recent injury, seeing Ashley Young to return from suspension to take up the left-back role.
Chris Smalling and Phil Jones started at centre-back before the former limped off just before the hour mark. Marcos Rojo was introduced for only his third Premier League appearance of the season, with his sole start coming on Wednesday night.
