Manchester United are set to offer a bumper new contract to star forward Marcus Rashford, according to reports.
Although there are several reports claiming that the 20-year-old is unhappy at Old Trafford due to his playing time, the England international has actually started 15 of the 32 Premier League games he has played this season as well as a further three starts in the Champions League and two in the FA Cup, despite his tender age.
The Daily Star are now reporting that we are set to offer Rashford a new long-term deal before this summer’s World Cup. He is currently earning £25,000-a-week after signing his latest contract in 2016. However, Rashford does only have two more years on his current deal so it makes sense to offer him a new one before the start of next season.
Marcus Rashford first made an impact with a brace against Arsenal on his Premier League debut under Louis van Gaal. However, Jose Mourinho has not given the youngster much opportunity up front due to Romelu Lukaku’s fitness levels. Rashford often finds himself playing on either wing instead.
