Manchester United back in the hunt for Atletico Madrid star

Manchester United have reportedly revived their interest in Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez. The Spanish midfielder has been admired for a while at Old Trafford

United targeted the Spanish international last summer but failed to strike a deal for the £70m-rated midfielder due to the club missing out on Champions League football.

Manchester United officials believe that Atletico’s shock exit from the Champions League at the hands of RB Leipzig will boost their chances of luring Niguez to Manchester, with the Spaniard now considering his future.
United are ready to offer Saul a long term deal worth £150,000-a-week and believe that the prospect of playing alongside Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba could be the decisive factor in clinching the deal in the Red Devil’s favour.

With Manchester United’s move for Jadon Sancho deadlocked and United seeing no light at the end of that tunnel, it would be smart of the Manchester outfit to clinch this transfer with the player wanting out of the club.
