Manchester United captain Harry Maguire has heaped praise on Marcus Rashford and described the forward as the most talented player he has played with during his career.
Rashford has enjoyed a superb season on the personal level with the Red Devils and he has already netted 19 goals – the most he has managed during a single campaign.
A back injury in January hampered his prospects of extending his goal tally but he could still play a key role for the club when the season restarts after the suspension for the coronavirus pandemic.
Speaking recently to the UTD Podcast, Maguire appreciated Rashford’s efforts on and off the playing field this term.
He added that he has been amazed by the forward’s qualities on the pitch and is confident that the 22-year-old will be a ‘wonderful player’ for the club in the long-run.
“He’s always wanting to make himself available. I think you can see around the place and on and off the field as well, he’s excellent with his charity work, which is great to see,” He said.
“On the pitch, like I said, he’s amazed me. He’s the most talented player I’ve ever played with and I’m sure he’s going to be a wonderful player for this club.”
Rashford has gone through periods where he has struggled to find the back of the net but he has improved his goalscoring exploits during the current campaign.
The England international has made the left-wing position his own this season and he has bagged 15 goals and four assists from 23 outings across all competitions.
As such, his future definitely appears from the left side of the attack and it remains to be seen whether he can sustain his form over an extended period of time to become a world-class performer.
