Odion Ighalo says there is more to come from fantastic Manchester United star

Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo has hailed Bruno Fernandes as a fantastic player and believes the Portuguese will only get better as he settles into Premier League football.

The 25-year-old made the move to United from Sporting during the closing stages of the January transfer window and he has since proved a quality purchase with three goals and four assists from nine outings.

Elsewhere, he has also contributed a number of key passes in the final third of the field and Ighalo insists that the Red Devils have yet to see the best out of the Portuguese, who was his teammate at Udinese.

“Bruno is a fantastic player. I played with him in 2013-14 at Udinese. We’ve not seen the best of him yet in the Premier League,” he told journalist Juliet Bawuah in a Twitter interview.

“Once Bruno Fernandes settles down in England you will see what that guy can do. He has vision, he wants the ball always. He can shoot, he can score goals, he is very intelligent.”

Fernandes started his United career with a decent performance in the 0-0 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers but he has since been consistent with his displays on the field.

As a result, he has firmly cemented his spot in the attacking midfield role and become a favourite among the fans, who have picked him as the man of the match on numerous occasions.

Judging by Ighalo’s comments, Fernandes has definitely been performing on a much higher level on the training field but most supporters would be satisfied so long as he does not go through a rough patch.
